Here is a summary of the episode before I start reviewing.
An earthquake wakes a Highbreed officer, who was put into stasis and only to be awakened if the Highbreed lost the war. Per his orders, he triggers a weapon of last resort meant to destroy Earth. Mind-controlling seeds take over Grandpa Max and four others, using them as the brain for a living bomb that will end all life on the planet. The Highbreed officer refuses to believe Ben's claims of peace, and won't divulge how to stop the creature. While Gwen and Kevin try to slow it down, Ben enlists the aid of Reinrassic III to get the Highbreed officer to cooperate. Unable to stop the monster from the outside, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin sneak inside the monster to destroy it within. They manage to save the humans being used as its brain, and the Highbreed officer sacrifices himself to dispose of the creature safely.
The graphics in this episode were again amazing. Especially the DNAlien plant monster. The way it walked was cool to watch, and the details on it was really great. Also the long distant views of scenes was great too.
I was concerned for Max when he fell in the beginning! It was very dramatic and scary-I thought he got REALLY hurt, but he seemed to shake it off okay.
Alright, so I really thought the DNAliens were gone for good. I thought they might come back maybe for an alliance in a fight way later on in the season, but when I first saw the underground cables, I thought, "Your kidding."
*Grossness* This episode was disgusting in many ways, not too bad though. 1. We all know Grampa Max has an intresting diet. Squid burgers? Ew! Add it to the list. 2. Planting seeds inside the prisoners. Nasty how it creeped all up on their faces and made them robot-like. 3. Having to enter the plant monster from...uh yeah I'm not typing that. 4. The stank of inside the plant monster.
NOTE: I just want to say that I felt bad for everyone because they couldn't eat. Kevin was hurting real bad. I could tell.
During the attack, when Ben left to get the Highbreed Lord, it just seemed too fast. How could Ben go to Julie's house to get Ship, then fly to a distant galaxy, explain his situation then fly all the way back. It seemed too fast and I think Ben should have took longer.
NOTE: I always love how Reiny calls Ben, 'Ben Ben Tennyson.' Its so funny every time! It is because when Ben introduced himself, he said, "Hi I'm Ben. Ben Tennyson."
I liked how this episode turned out. Even if there wasn't really any Gwevin scenes, it was a cool twist. The team had to think a lot. There was a lot of science anatomy stuff. If I was one of them, I could not be able to think that much.
Also, now the military knows about all this alien activity. Or have they known all along? Good progression and plot.
