Vintage photographs recently discovered of William Asher (Bewitched director and Elizabeth Montgomery's husband) checking out the aftermath of the fire that almost totally destroyed the Bewitched set.

I know the fire at Sunset Gower Studios,where the Bewitched set was located,happened in 1970. It did a lot of damage and the Bewitched kitchen had to be re-modelled before they started filming season 7. But I don't know what the cause was. I have more than 10 books on Bewitched and it's history and none of thew talks about the fire and there seems to be nothing on the net either.
I never knew there was a fire,William looks devastated looking through all that rubble (how upsetting)at least they got it back to normality before the next season.Very interesting Cammie.
