Dear Mr. Connolly,
I saw your show in San Francisco, and I thought that it was fantastic, except for one part. Your references to my Savior, Jesus Christ.
I know that you probably don't care what one individual thinks, and living in the United States, you can worship whatever individual you like, even yourself, if you so choose (and some do). That's what makes it such a wonderful place.
I will tell you that I was tempted to walk out on your show - that I was that offended. I'm not going to push religion on you, or Christianity, or anything like that. I'm relatively new to this "religion" thing myself. But it is something I feel strongly about.
I think your viewpoint about overall frustration with different religions is very valid. However, there are so many others to attack besides just Jesus. I mean, let's make it fair game here, eh?
I, personally, don't care who or what your worship. You can worship a Blue Barbie Doll or a Silver Bullet Vibrator - I don't care. JUST DO IT PEACEFULLY. That's all I ask.
I think that's all any American asks.
But lay off Jesus, ok. He's a GOOD GUY. Not a bad guy.
Just like you're a good guy, and not a bad guy - so don't turn people off from your gift - the gift of laughter.
