The 21-year-old actress has been on enjoying her time off from work and exclusively told JustJared.com about her hiatus.
“I’ve traveled all over Asia,” Blake shared, “I went to Thailand, India and Maldives. I stayed at the most incredible place in the Maldives called Soneva Gili and you have to take a boat to get to your glass-bottom hut in the middle of the water. It’s gorgeous!”
Ms. Lively didn’t stay idle while trekking through Asia. “I’m half-way to getting my scuba license and I went to cooking school in Thailand,” she shared. “I never get time to do things like cook and travel, so now I have two months off and I’m trying to take advantage of it as much as I can.”
When asked if she took back any sourveniers from Asia, Blake told JustJared.com, “Yeah, we actually rode elephants barefoot and washed them one-on-one in the river. It’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever done. I got a painting that an elephant made for me and that is definitely my most prized possession. And some beautiful jewelry from India!”

Contains strong sex & language, and drug, suicide and self harm references.
THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE is a drama about a woman reflecting upon all the varied episodes in her life as she watches her much older husband become more senior. It was classified ‘15’ as it contains strong sex and strong language, and references to sex, drugs, suicide and self harm.
A sex scene with female orgasm from unseen genital touching occurs at a late stage of the film. During one reflective scene, Pippa Lee recalls a stills shoot with BDSM themed dress. There is mimed spanking using a carpet beater and some wearing of collars, chains, and maids outfits. On another occasion, a reference is made, ‘stick your finger up his ass while he’s coming’. Guidelines at '15' state that 'sexual activity may be portrayed but without strong detail. There may be strong verbal references to sexual behaviour'.
The suicide references are to a scene of a shooting where a gun is paced in the mouth, but the firing is not seen. We also see the aftermath of self harm to the forearms with a disposable razor. At '15' Guidelines allow for representations...

Blake Lively says Gossip Girl is holding back her movie career.
The 21-year-old actress - who plays Serena van der Woodsen in the hit TV show - says she has been so busy filming the teen drama that it’s been impossible to take up film offers coming her way.
She explains, “We shoot nine months out of the year, so there are so many films I can’t do.
“On my latest movie I would go and take a day off from Gossip Girl in New York and go to Connecticut and shoot that and then come back the next day. And they don’t really like to share you.”
