Brennan was getting ready for the annual New Year’s Eve party at the Jeffersonian. She had had a long day examining the remains of the latest case she was working with Booth and she decided to take a relaxing bath before she gets dressed. Andrew, Booth’s boss, said he was going to see her at the party. She had hoped that Booth was coming but he did not say anything about it. As she lowered herself into the warm bubble bath, she told herself she could excuse herself early if Booth does not show or maybe she should not go altogether.
