Emily on David - "One time I burst into tears, David took me outside and asked, "What's going on with you?" and then really listened to my answer. He's a wonderful friend."
David on Emily - "I like when Emily has her hair down cause she's so pretty."
Emily: “David jokes around so much and plays jokes on us. You can't believe anything that comes out of his mouth, I have realized!”
David: “I love being around Emily. I miss her. I miss-“
Emily: “You can’t help yourself.”
David: “I can’t. When we left the first season I was -”

David: “Departed”
Emily: “He spiraled into a depression”
David: “Bad. And now I feel myself back in it with her. And I love doing scenes with her.”
David: “You’ll see the two of us just get closer and closer, and it’s exciting to see that.”
Emily: “I think that when somebody, when people really have a connection with each other, they change each other. You become a different person, hopefully a better person, because of it.”

Chapter 6
At that, they related the story of how the Gravedigger had put Booth on a ship that was to be destroyed with explosives and sunk. In order to find the location of where Booth was Tempy had asked Jared to get a cadaver from the FBI. Because he had misused his authority to get the body, the Navy discharged him.
Booth’s mother asked. “Tempy what did you say to Jared for him to get the body? He said that when you had first asked him he said he couldn’t but then you said something that made him change his mind. What was it?”
Brennan looked at Booth before she answered. “I told him he did not deserve to have a brother like Booth, who was always there for him and now that he needs help you refuse.”
“Jared had said that you made him realize how much his brother has done for him and that he did what he needed to do. He also told us how you had hit him before Seeley’s birthday.” Kate said.

A/N: Hey guys! This is my first fanfiction, well, ever. So I'm sorry if it sucks. It's a sort of an AU oneshot. Basically, Booth ends up dying in surgery, and this is about Brennan visiting his grave. The song I used was 'Bixby Canyon Bridge' by Death Cab for Cutie. :)

She didn’t understand. It was supposed to be an easy surgery. The doctor she got was one of the best. Logic had failed her. Logically, the surgery should have been fine. Logically, the man coming through the doors of the OR should’ve been there to tell her that everything went well, that Booth would be up in a few hours. What her mind told her - what the facts told her - was that everything would be okay.
It wasn’t.
