The Heir series by Cinda Williams Chima is also good - The Warrior Heir; The Wizard Heir; The Dragon Heir. Also make sure to read Stephanie Meyer's "The Host". Lots of Twilight fans forget to.

If you are looking for a break from vampire books try the "Belgariad" series by David Eddings. That series is probably the best series he has written.
