I've finished the 'linnet bird' by linda holeman & its sequel and I thought they were really good (in particular 'the linnet bird'). I was wondering anyone know any other good books about the Victorian era but not by Victorian authors?

Only one I know of is the Sally Lockhart Mysteries by Philip Pullman. They're based in the late 18th century and are a wonderful mix of mystery, adventure and love. They're one of my fave series.

Thnx for replying first of all! :) Sadly, I've already read Pullman's books - which is one of the reasons why I want to find more Victorian era books :)
