Has anyone read the Naughts and Crosses Trilogy by Malorie Blackman?
I loved them, although they were very sad, and no one I know has heard of them. And I have no one to talk to about them...I really think that more people should read them, I got so sucked in to the story.
I'd say they the first one is a romance, but it's much deeper than that. It deals with a lot of issues, the main one probably being discrimination/racism. I've never read anything else like it before. The way she writes it is really interesting. Sorry, I can't really give more of a detailed description than that. I'm always very cautious about explaining these books, because my descriptions don't really do them justice.
