Favorite type of novel to read?

Someone else will have to add classic, fantasy, horror, graphic, thriller, and comic novels - I can only add one, and while they all are great, I do find myself reading more SF than any other.

How could I forget SF??

I love fantasy! The hobbit being my favourite book ever!

I'm always changing. But right now I'm going though the Jane Austen books (again) and so I must say romance. Although I do adore historical fiction.

Most of the books I read have elements of everything but I am reading a lot of Japanese books at the moment and romance is pretty much the only theme I can describe from them xD

I really love all books but I'm a total fantasy girl. Epic battles between creatures and humans alike. Great stuff.

i'll read almsot anything really. I always say to people " i don't really like those kinds of books" then i read them and love them. there isn't a book that i've actually disliked. Just kinda those girly girly 100 page books that are all the same. I am definatly one for romantic tho. and fantasie.

I like a story that keeps me guessing and stories that can scare me, but Horror isn't an option on here. Oh well, some mysteries can be pretty scary, so it works for me.

I almost read anything as long as i enjoy it! But im one of those people who once they start a book (however crap it is) i have to know how it ends, lol =) I love Fantasy and Romance though (i love it when they are together!)

Historical fiction, based on something what happend, but with a main person who didn't excist

I love all kinds of books, but mysteries are my favorite. I do like romance (especially paranormal romance), fantasy, nonfiction, and things that just catch my eye.

I love Shopaholic. I think a lot of the 'chick lit' books are better than we give them credit for. They are perfectly legit. Having said that, I like humorous books with either outright laughs, or sarcasm and irony. Social commentary is also great. And romance. I am pretty sure that all adds up to Jane Austen. (Why do I make everything so complicated?)

I like the stories that make me keep reading and sometimes scare me. Also I like the romantic stories and the science fiction ones. I like every story that keep my attention because it have a great plot and are entretaining.

Vampire love is the sexiest....

Chick lit. has to be one of the WORST genres of books. The name also bugs me because it is such a horrible genre and associates half of the human race with it. It is about self-centered girly-girls who think they are all that when they aren't. And it's about the popular girls who are always talking about each other behind each other's backs.Or it's about and ignorant "normal" girl trying to become popular. I think those books are shallow, senseless, and repetitive.

Then add Harry Potter, ew.

Anything that has a good plot. If I can't put it down then I know it's a good book.

"Chick lit" is different than "Chick flicks". And Harry Potter isn't a type of novel.

how can you not love fantasy?? adventure, suspense, action, mythical creatures, and sometimes elements of romance and mystery....fantasy is for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anything with romance, humor, adventure with likable and lovable characters that i would cry for if they died or something bad happened to them.

i love fantasy!!!!!!!!!! but, i cannot stand romance novels, especially twilight!!! fantasy has all the adventure and swords and battles and gory deaths......... what's there not to love??????

classics rule

i like to have a variety of things, the problem is, right now is like my vampire-ish time and i only really have attention for vampire books- i like to call it my vampire world when i read or write suff like that! so i guess i could have chosen 'fantasy' but i like my terms better.

I love to read basically any book that I think looks interesting. I love stories with mystery.- An unsolved problem. and Fatasy!
But right now i am into the vampire and romance stuff! :P

I love all books! But, fantasy always makes my mind think of all the other posibilitys(I bet I spelled that wrong). It's fantasy, anything can happen!

mystery and horror

Of course I like anything with a good story/plot, but I really like historical fiction.

Especially set during the World War II era.
It's so interesting.

I don't find a lot of interest in things that actually happened unless they're in an amazing, well-written, and fascinating tale. In fantasy, anything can happen! Fantasy books are so creative and writers come up with great plots for them =)

I honestly don't know when I last read anything but Fantasy. It's simply the best.

I've read Horror, Adventure, Romance, Fantasy, Science Fiction, almost everything. ^^ I just need to get my hands on some Classics D8
