I agree that burning any sort of literature is horrible, but Twilight? Eh... *makes a face* Well, in my personal opinion, Twilight is just a poorly written, watered-down Harlequin romance novel that somehow managed to become ridiculously popular. Popularity does NOT equal quality. I don't consider Twilight a piece of real "literature", so this video doesn't really bother me. *is shot*

All right, of course it was fun, and Twilight really is a terrible book, but burning two copies of it and recording it and posting it to youtube? Why is it such a huge triumph? Okay, I HATE: Hannah Montana, HSM (ALL OF THEM), The Jonas Brothers, Camp Rock, Britany Spears, and lots of other really bad things, and if I was given a poster or a DVD or something, sure, I might burn it, but I just have this thing with books. Wow. These girls have no life. I've read all the Twilight Series ( I swear I'm not a crazed, obsessed fangirl) and they aren't that bad. The writing is cheesy, but hey, it's a romance story. What do people expect? I think it's really disgraceful that these girls are burning books. I've read novels that I didn't like, but I'm not going to burn it. Books should be respected, whether they are good or bad.
I think that if Twilight wasn't so popular and didn't have so many insane fans, the haters wouldn't mind it NEARLY as much. But honestly, though what these girls did isn't great, you people on the comments don't need to HATE them. Saying it's wrong is one thing, but criticizing their outfits and judging them? That is hate for not liking the book that you like. That makes me angry as well. Are you now going to hate me because I am different from you?
So my point is, the hatred in general has gone a bit too far, on both sides. If you want to make your point, do something else, like write comments (even nasty ones) in the book or something, or tell people politely that you disagree instead of hating everything about them all of a sudden.

It is immature but I still love it!! I some how got 4 copies of twilight I immediately convinced my mom to have a yard sale. None of them sold (everyone has it already) so we just left it in the front with a sign "free to take".

Stephenie Meyer put a lot of work and emotion into these books. She put a part of herself into these books. I know, because I'm an artist and my sister is a writer.
