I honestly didn't hate it, but i was dissappointed. The whole thing read like fanfiction to me: cute, but not the conclusion i wanted to hear for my beloved Bella and Edward. The wedding/honeymoon business was very cute. i really loved it. The second Carlisle said Bella was pregnant my heart just sank. How could SM do that to me?

I turned the page to se Jacob's perspective, *groan*. I like Jacob, but i didn't want to spend the final installment of the twilight saga in the mind of "what could have been". Surprisingly enough, Jacob was quite funny and i enjoyed his part a lot. I thought it was lame how he just gave up fighting for bella and his hatred for vampires in like ONE chapter. My Jacob wouldn't do that. After that, Jacob was painted as a spineless and lovesick character who inevitably loses. Also, i can't lie, i was totally rooting for a Leah/Jacob hookup. During these chapters, I felt like Bella was nothing more than a stupid, weak, little human. Her "self sacrificing" proctectivness put a strain on her and Edward's relationship (namely, deleting any edward/bella time completely except for a brief hand holding session). Rosalie was utterly obnoxious in her baby-frenzy. I am surprised Emmett didn't twist her into a pretzel.

But then, omigod, that CREATURE was born. i was completely disgusted by the whole scene (not in a BAD I-hate-this-book sort of way, but in a Ew-Bella-is-leaking-all-over-the-cullen-house sort of way) They named her, Renesmee, and i laughed, thinking that is exactly what a 12 year old fanfic writer would name the Bella/Edward lovechild. AND THEN, *triumphant trumpets sounding* Jacob imprints! I literally laughed for 10 minutes! It was weird and kinda lame, but totally unexpected, and for that, I applaud SM.

Then, Bella was changed. During this part i was brought back to last summer, reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Harry "died". After her transformation, i truly was proud of Bella. Afterall, she'd gotten what she'd wanted. An eternity with Edward and a child for both of them to love. Not to mention intense beauty, super speed and strength, and no "newborn cravings" to control. Wasn't this what i'd expected for breaking dawn? Wasn't this what I, an obsessed Edward/Bella fan, dreamed of? It was. But it didn't feel the same. They would be happy, i knew that, but the wonder of Bella and Edward's awe-striking relationship was that all they needed to be happy was one another. But now they had a child to focus on, and i felt like i didn't get to see the happily married couple who could conquer the world as long as they had eachother.

During the period directly after Bella's transformation, i began to feel whole again. The Thing hadn't been mentioned in a while and i was home-free to enjoy some quality B/E time. The hunting chapter was very cute, and i enjoyed Bella's birthday too. Bella and Edward finally had safe (by every meaning of the word) and unyielded sex. I was happy for them because i'd feared their physical relationship would be less strong after the...."baby". Next came Emmett's sexual innuendos, which were honestly some of the funniest quotes of the twilight saga. It was good to see a more human sex-craved side of my favorite immortal (and old-fashioned) family

Jacob and Nessie's relationship continued to blossom. It was cute to see a compassionate side of Jacob, but I always saw him as the "Smart-alecky-sex-appeal" of the series. To say the least, i was Jacob-starved.

Then the whole Volturi business began. Their return seemed inevitable, but it just added to the many reasons i despised the..."child". As soon as i'd read that Alice and Jasper (went and r-u-n-n-o-f-t) bolted, i felt betrayed. Dear Alice, the purest of the loyal, headstrong characters i'd grown to admire, left her family at the news of their death sentence. I just wanted to pull out her stupid, spiky, little hair and gag Jasper with it. But who needs 'em? certainly not me. so i read on.

The gathering of the "witnesses" was quite interesting, and i especially enjoyed the part where Renesmee referred to Edward as "Daddy" for the first time. Maybe this kid wasn't so bad afterall? The Voluri arrived and within 5 minutes automatically believed Bella and Edward's story. Then why the hell are they sticking around?! It made absolutely no sense. Sure they claimed to want "justice" and everyone knew that but honestly, we all knew how it would end. get on with it. Finally, it looked like the Cullens weren't going to win afterall. Bella's pessimistic assesment of the situation and tearful goodbye to Edward, Jacob, and Nessie had me bawling. Why? this wasn't the goodbye i was anticipating at all! Before i began the book i had prepared myself for a different one. Bella was supposed to be leaving Jacob and all of Forks to live as a vampire with edward! that was the emotion i was ready for. But no, lame as it was, SM's magical words had me emotional for a character i didn't even care for. Yeah, i was impressed too.

Just as the pressure was building up, the lovely Alice and Jasper arrive gracefully. (of course.) I was so glad. Even though Bella had been following Alice's "clues" i still couldn't get out of my brain that she up and left town! Super Alice saves all of vampire-(and 'shape-shifter) kind and everyone lives happily ever after.

Right? Bella and Edward can live at peace with their family and co exist with their human friends. Bella has perfected her talent and is now unstoppable! Edward finally finds a way to read Bella's mind, and the two (err....three) of them are free to live in a cutesy little cottage in Forks (which Bella and Edward will hopefully 'knock down' according to Emmett)

So Now, that i've ranted for ages over why i didn't care for this book, i'd figure i'd break it down nice-n-easy for those who are very err....human, as Edward would say:

Top Ten Things In 'Breaking Dawn' That Bugged Me
10. The concept of a Bella/Edward lovechild...too bizarre!
9.Jacob's entire loss of personality after Nessie was born.
Renesmee's name. COME ON!
Rosalie.
8.Wtf happened to Quil and Embry? no happy ending for Jacob & his best boyfriends?!
7.Marcus' boredom.... that guy need's some "South Park" in his life!
6. Charlie is on a "need to know" basis!
5. Charlie is totally hooking up with Seth's mom!
4. Leah needs to read COSMO. she can't keep asking Jacob about her 'lady problems'
3. The first chapter made such a big deal about Bella's 'before' car! her 'after' car was mentioned....once?
2. Two words....JAZZ & EM?!
1. The Volturi's dominance over all mythical creatures! Come on, let's just have Aro hold hand's with Hermione and Casper and we can all get along!

Top Ten Best Things In 'Breaking Dawn'
10. Jacob's Preface. Life Sucks, and then you die. "Yeah, i should be to lucky!"
9. Leah Clearwater.
8. Seth's utter adoration for the Cullens. the kid probably has a 'Cullen family' Calendar in his room.
7. Edward tears lingerie. Nice.
6. Jacob's chapter names. 'Waiting for the damn fight to start!' & 'Sure as hell didn't see that one coming'
5. The Wedding. no snide comment here. it was utterly perfect.
4. Emmett and Rosalie can knock down some houses! *wink**wink*
3. "You've been holding out on me."
2. Emmett's sports announcements, "well it's about time *someone* scored around here"
1. Edward like's it rough. he destroys headboards, pillows, and bedframes!

HAHAH , i totally agreee with you there, I didtn like it at first but after a while i got into it , the middle part (bella giving birth) around there, i felt like i needed to complain to someone.
I missed the total innocence of Twilight you know.

Random Notes .
1. I loved jacobs chapter names too...my fave 'Sure as hell didn't see that one coming'
2. HAHAH i was lughing sooo hard when Edward whipped the garter at Mike's face.
3.Emmetts innuendos , and all of his moments.
4.Seth, in my opinion is reallll funney. love him.
5.OME ,,I felt like strangling Rosalie hated her soo much , almost peed my pants when of laughter when jake threw the tin bowl at her and all if his corny blonde jokes.
6. I was really interested in NAhuels story.
7. I actually liked Marcus' boredom it makes me wonder what hes thinking , is he actually bored or he is really good at the Poker face.
8. Leah ?? so annoying but totally understand her.
9.I liked how Nessie is joining The Blacks together with the Cullens like JAcob is bellas son-in- law ..Charlie and Billy?? Billy is the father in law and charlie is the granfather ...in law. So confusing but got me to crack up once i thought about it.
10. I am soo happy that Nessie wont die in 15 years. I cant bear imagining Jacob on that day.

The ending was too happy but then i know that Stephanie Hates bad endings look at The Host for example. It was a good series overall though adn twilight being my fave.

Absolutely Agree.

I was disappointed as well.

What really made the whole book down hill for me was that Bella and edward have sex alot in the book and well, the characters weren't themselves, as if Stephenie Meyer didn't write BD.
Also the book was very, VERY predictable, I wanted more out of it.
And what also confuses me is that is it really possible for Bella to get pregnant with EDWARD.
I mean ed is a vampire and the venom replaces all the body fluids of the human body, including sperm, Stephenie meyer also told us herself.
And the whole Jacob imprinting on Nessie, to me it was completely wrong in many ways.(no Offense)
But what really bugs me is that Stephenie Meyer knows that actual teens read this book and so she writes how teenagers (like Bella) should get married at a young age and also get PREGNANT at a young age. also to forget about college.
She's sending pre-teens and teens an absolutely bad message.

So that's mostly some of her so-called fan's opinions

yes,! I agree!
I didn't hate BD, but I almost STOPPED READING THE BOOK when Bella got pregnant. It seemed so ... unbellaish! I also agree that after Renesme was born, Jacob turned into Mr. Robot Guy and all the Cullens very oddly and quickly started loving him! I mean -- REALLY! And I think that Renesme's name is VERY weird and impossible to pronounce ( I say it Re-nes-ME, but that probably isn't right) And I really wanted 2 slap Rose. She was being a BRAT.
And about the who Renesme thing, well, I really wanted her to die. At first it was kinda cute, but she just got to be a nuisance near the end and WOW! Also, I don't get why Irina did what she did. I get her being angry at them 4 killing her BF, but if Tanya liked them, why kill them. I mean, those 2 seemed so tight (if you don't get what I'm saying, see when Irina dies and how Tanya reacts). The whole "gathering of the vamps" thing was kinda cool -- I enjoyed seeing all the vampires because, to be honest, I wanted to see more of the vampire world.
I agree with Peanutbutter111 -- I MISS TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!! It seemed so, well, NICE and Bella was Bella. To be frank with SM, I think that Bella turned into a whole new person in BD -- and not in the good way. I felt like her personality went out the window. SHE'S the one with "multiple personality disorder" (from TWILIGHT -- which I miss)! . The other books, NEW MOON and ECLIPSE seemed to stay true the all the people's personalities, but BREAKING DAWN was horrible in that respect. It sort of ruined the series for me :(.
All in all, I DID NOT ENJOY READING BREAKING DAWN. There were some part that I liked, but STILL. I sorta wish I never read it.

Absolutely

I thought it was a good enough last book , but it could have been so much better!
When i got to the part where bella gets pregnent I actually thought it was a joke , that the real breaking dawn hadn't come out yet , or someone had got into the system and rewrote the whole book or something! I am accually still hoping that is true , that a better breaking dawn is out there somewhere!

I'm not saying it wasn't good or anything but just not enough.

And Bella! she was so not bella she was like totally different. I can't really pinpoint it but it was like stephanie got lazy or some thing and just gave up on making bella interesting.

It all just went downhill from the wedding ,and this is just a little thing but it was so cliche how bella called her grandmother gandma swan.

Another thing that bugged me was that I had to email my friend (who speaks portugiese) and ask her what "morte" meant ,I had no idea!I tried to google it but just got last names of almost famous people.
It means death by the way.

And also I think stephanie should have made it a little less obvious when bella was pregnent . some people might not have got it but come on. Getting sick , sleeping too much , nightmares , and being hungry all the time !

I thought new moon was my least favorite book out of the saga but bd beat it . When I was reading twilight new moon and eclipse I could'nt put them down for A second but with bd I accually took hour long breaks from it until I got bored enough to read on.

Jacob was dead. not in the litteral sense but he was soooo boring!

And did you notice that the laywer had the most cliche lawywer name ever I mean I searched our phone book and there are four lawyers and one realtor in my city name jason scott

Here are some things stephanie could have improved on in my opinion

1. she could have let us hear all of emmetts innuendos instead of just 3 or 4

2.she could have made something really bad happen to rose, not to kill her or anything , but just to give us some satisfaction

3.she could have made the battle with the volturi go a little farther , it was so predictable , I mean I didn't know alice would show up , but we all knew that edward and bella would live. Just to let us be a little more concerned.

4.she could have made jacobs "book" moore interesting. BORING.

5.she could have put a little more info at the end.I mean she can't leave everything to imagination! can she?

6.There could have been a little less sex on the honeymoon . I know some people don't agree ,this is just in my oppinion , but it was supposed to be special and they...well edward at least had made it a huge deal! And they did it what three times!!!

7.She could have made Edward cry when Bella was dying. I know its sad but it shows how much he loves her.

8.she could have let charlie get emmetts innuendos instead of being oblivious. That would have been hilarious!

9. she could have thought of a better name ,I mean come on Renesmee.I totally agree with you on that one it does sound like a twelve year old made it up and also if it were a boy , A.J. as in edward jacob yeah good story to tell to him when he's older. "mommy names you that because edward was daddy's dad's name ,edward. And jacob was my best friend and I used to be in love with him ,I fell inlove with him ,when daddy left me and said he didn't love me any more and now jacob hates mommy because mommy's a vampire and he's a warewolf." And then stephanie goes farther into the parent converges and makes renesmee's middle name "Carlie" . So if it had been a boy his middle name would have been something like Charlisle or carlislie. nice.

10. In my oppinion it would have been really sweet if edward would have changed his last name back to Mason just before the wedding so they could use his real last name.Edward and Isebella Mason.

I loved the book and I was very depressed when I finished it because it was over! I thought it was a great way to end the twilight saga.

I was going to list the things I liked and disliked about the book, but I loved it all so I would be typing the whole book basically!!!

I know that my opinion is way different from everyone else who posted here but I like to be different :o)

And I just want to say that I love Renesme...and everything about her! Even her name...I don't understand why everyone hates it...i mean yeah it is odd, but I think it just...fits! And I definitely agree with Bella...Nessie? Really...nessie? Come on...I think that is ridiculous!!!

i agree w/ emmyjo91. i LOVED the book. i loved how everything just came from nowhere! predictable? psh! yeah right. and i actually REALLY liked renesmee(and her name)

hahaha!! jacob's blonde jokes were hilarious and i cracked up when he threw the dog bowl at rose.

and i also like the nicknames(jazz, em).

oh, and i wonder if they're gonna show all that honeymoon stuff in the movie(if they make one). wow, that would be like rated R! lol

oh, and i like the idea of a vampire index. except that i kept wondering who in the heck renesmee was, cuz i read it b4 i read the book.

Ok, first of all, WHATS WITH THE JACOB LOVE!!!! He is icky and terrible and I hate him with a passion. Well, I don't hate him, but he is terrible.

He pissed me off like a lot in Eclipse with the whole I LOVE BELLA WOOOOOHOOOO! thing. GET OVER YOURSELF!!!! Bella said she loves you, but not like that. And when he kissed her, I wanted him to die.

He was ok in New Moon because he helped bella stay sane.

He was soooooo cute in Twilight because he was such a tool! And he never figured that out! And because he was so obviously crushing on Bella.

In BD I wanted to shoot SM, HE IMPRINTED ON THE BABY! But the blonde jokes/dog bowl were pretty good. But after bella's transformation, he was really obsessive with her I mean seriously! I litterally laughed for 10 minutes after the scene where bella yelled at him. He deserved it. But bella didnt touch upon his "Moronic claim to her" enough. BELLA IS HER DANG MOTHER! and he's all SHES MINE GOSHDARNIT! He needed to back off a little bit. or a lot. And then he acted like renesmee liked him better when she liked bellla more (well thats not true, but SM, it totally should have been. And after all of this, jacob still acted like she was his when really, he was hers.

Rosalie was hilarious! but she was a total control freak over renesmee (which is an awful name by the way)!

Anyway, the part where jakey was the narrator was really boring, but at least it was better than if bella was all "ohhhh, dont hurt my baby" blah blah blah.

The honeymoon was absolutely amazing! The sex was really funny. "why am i covered im feathers?" I almost died laughing so hard! I'm a guy, and i didnt really notice the pregnancy signs. I almost died laughing again from when they figured it out. I really wanted SM to take it in a more comic direction, but she had to make it all drama-ish and serious.

"Em's" sex jokes were sooooooo funny!

Alice has always been my favorite, after edward, and she was hilarious during the wedding. After that she kinda got boring.

Omg, jake at the wedding was hilarious!!!! I wanted a bigger fight, but I was satisfied anyway.

The ending was good because it was happy, but i was slightly disappointed with SM's lack of details. It ended very fast. I would have rather had the book come out later and have a better ending. I felt like SM got lazy, and just wanted to meet her deadline.

WHERE WAS THE EDDY/BELLS TIME? I know they had the honeymoon, and bits and pieces and a little bit after the trasformation, but still not a lot.

Overall, I was deeply satisfied. i felt thoroughly surprised throughout the book and thought that the pregnancy was genius. The imprint was a totaly shock for me.
Even though i knew the book would have a happy ending, I was still on the edge of my chair and sweating bullets towards the end with the whole field of vamps thing. Steph did get a little lazy though and could have improved, for example, bella was not bella and jacob was barely jacob. The sex was a nice touch. And em was awesome. I just wish though that the baby was more bellas than jakeys or barbies. The whole book, nessie was theres, never bellas. I was disappointed. Also, NESSIE, WAT THE HECK? How dare jacob assume he can just nickname bellas baby THE NERVE!!!! Did i mention that i dont like jacob?

Everyone says they hated the fact that Bella was pregnant, but I liked it! I have to admit that it was really wierd at times that Renesmee kept calling Edward daddy - it took a while to sink in - but at the same time I was tearing up.

I thought the sex was funny. i was CRACKING UP when she was shaking the feathers off of her. "Why am I covered in feathers?" It was like she thought she ended havind sex with a chicken. LOL. And "There's still some headboard left." Before I read the book I was looking at online spoilers *yes shame on me..* and everyone was saying that Bella was 'sex-crazed' and that their relationship was 'based on sex'. I really did not think that at all when I was reading the book. Seriously, she is finally able to...do it with him... I can expect loving each other that much they would want to finally..do it. I didn't think it was crazy. And Emmett's innuendos!!! HA!!! It was funny to hear how him and Rosalie knocked over some houses. "Em." I found that wierd, though, because my best friend who is a girl's nickname is Em.

As for Jacob: I was shocked!! When I first saw the "JAcob book two" part, I was not happy at all. The part thatsuprised me was, that, I really liked his side of the story! The first couple of pages were not that great, but the rest I loved. He really warmed up to the Cullens' even before he imprinted on Renesmee. I thought the blonde jokes with Rosalie were hilarious, too. "You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair." Priceless. She really pissed me off. But I don't really hate her. I kind of see her side of things. In a way.

Oooh, I really liked vampire Bella. And her power was really cool. She sounded relle pretty. (No homo). Which reminds me of my two new favorite characters: Max and J!! Max made me almost die laughing. I was picturing him in an Italian/New York accent kind of like from the Sopranos, looking kind of slummy. "She got a rocking body, white as a sheet, long brown hair... You know I'm a sucker for the hot ones...Married. Figures." (My quotes may be a little off, but oh well). It was really funny in my mind. Hehe. And J. I found it weird that everywhere he had an office or something he had a different weird. Eh, I guess it wasn't that weird.

some other things:

- people are mad there was not a fight, but i was kind of happy because i knew someone would end up dying.
-why do people care so much that marcus looked bored?
-i think i really like jacob now. ashame i discover that as soon as the series ends.
-AH!! THE SERIES HAS ENDED!! HOW WILL I GO ON? WHAT WILL BE THE REASON TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?!
-To answer my own rhetorical question : the Twilight movie and Midnight Sun of course!
-This book taught me how to spell rhetorical. (was that right?)
-How could SM leave us on such a cliffhanger?? 'what cliffhanger?' you may ask. let me explain: the book leaves us on a note where anything can happen. maybe not for other readers but for myself i intensely wonder 'what next?' i mean, what happens with renesemee and jacob?? does nahuel steal her fully grown heart? does the volturi step in? do the allegiance of vampires that are against the volturi group together again and defeat them? these are the reasons this is a cliffhanger for me. picturing forever isn't an easy concept. these are the reasons there should be a fifth book, and i dont mean MS.
-I am going to copy by saying:

Edward tears lingerie. Nice.
-The last thing that makes me sad is that Alice is gone. Not from the story, but *fake chokes up* in our hearts! Let me explain again. Well, I guess she is not gone from our hearts. I guess I can live with not hearing any more about Bella and Edward... (sort of)... but it kills me that i will never hear what else happens to Alice!!! *Cries.*

Anyway... I loved BREAKING DAWN!!!

I bought the book and i haven't really started reading it yet. So far i am a little disapointed. I am a huge Edward and Bella fan when i first read twilight i became addicted to them. It not turning out how i expected it to be and reading everyone comments on the darn thing they feel the same way. I miss what was now i don't even want to finsh because i've lost interest so quickly. When i'm a fan of something that's hard to do. Breaking Dawn is starting to be like Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows to me.(i am a HP fan also)It's like they need to get to the point. I'm just expecting more ummp. I'm not getting excited like i was with Twilight and Eclipse. It's getting lame. i need a little help people, help me read this book i was so crazy about before please! -Renesemee- what the hell was bella thinking! I felt like punching the hell out of her. Is she gone rabbity or is it just me.

I thought it was trippy. That was my exact review/opinion when I was telling my friend about it. The pregnacy thing was probably the most trippy thing about the book. I actually LOVED the Jacob part of the book. I L-O-V-E-D the titles, they amused me. Seth and Lean were a great add. And what the heck was with Rosalie? I wanted to strangle her, I'm very, very impressed as well as disappointed that Edward didn't maim (disfigure) her. I would have. Renesme... oh Bella, darling, why are we combining names to name our children? The whole marrying young and getting pregnant young didn't so much as bother me because, you know, they're kind of immortal. What really got me was how Bella didn't have any "newborn" problems. I was a bit with Jasper in that whole, "wtf?" moment. It was all, so very trippy. The pregnant thing, the imprinting thing (which to me was a very cheap way out and I was a little peeved off at Bella who went mental on Jacob, was she not the only who wanted him near her as just a friend at every given moment??), the whole Volutri thing was just long and totally drawn out, to me atleast. I'm 21, so none of the sex stuff really affected me, I don't think it was too much or took up too much of the book, my friend, who's older then I am thought it was over done, but, oh well. Other then a few scattered details of the after math, it's still a married couple. I def didn't feel the same spark that I had for the first two, or even the spark of the third book. And it was a bit fanfictiony... nothing compared to Harry Potter's Epiloge (shivers in annoyance). It was ok, a little too trippy and rushed IMO.

i agree on the name renesmee. it's just yuck.

jazz and em are weird too. SM just decided to put nicknames in BD. if she really wanted nicknames then why not put them in the other books as well. anyway, it's better than jazzy or emmy. that would have been awful.

i totally disagree on the Marcus thing. i mean come on! he lost his mate, he doesn't even know how. he and didyme had a very strong relationship. as strong as edward and bella's. after hearing the news that his wife died, you can't expect him to mourn like for a few days and then start skipping around and singing "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands!" *clap clap*. that's just not right. if bella was to die, i don't see edward doing that either. he would probably become exactly like marcus, an empty shell, void of all emotions (unless he attempts suicide again). proof in New moon. he was only away from bella and they were both in agony. so, you don't critizise edward for being like that but you reproche marcus of being all bored and unemotional! that's kinda unfair.

i agree with one of the comments i read above. it was like one big event, then small little insignificant events, then another big one. so at some point i did loose interest reading the inbetween events, like J. jenks which i found really boring.

but, all in all, i did like BD. jacob's book was a good idea. i kinda had enough of bella in eclipse and BD (such a cry baby). jacob's title were really funny as well. the witness gathering was great. it was like a refreshment to have new characters in the series. although i did expect a fight at the end with the volturi. but i'm glad no one died and that everything ended well.

i totally agree with you, it dident feel like the wonderful twilight sequel i waited forever for, like it wasent written by stephenie meyer (i know it was) but it was such a different style of writting from the other 3 books. i hated how they had a kid, and how jacob imprinted on her. then the whole book leads up to the voltury battle and there was NO EFFING FIGHT, what the heck was that about. she rushed throught it to fast, it could have been so much better. and there wasent a lot of great bella edward moments. i loved the wedding and the honeymoon, after they mentioned bella was pregant it sucked from then on

I've been a fan of the Twilight series ever since they first came out. I was very excited for BD to come out, I mean its the big finale of Edward and Bella! But sadly BD turned out to be a huge disappointment for me. Bella was the loveable girl in the first book, the wedding was perfecto I especially loved Jacobs mini stareoff with Edward(chills!) but...then it went downhill. I could understand that Bella wanted to be physically closer to Edward but seriously she was like a sex addict! She didn't even seem phased that he bruised her, really I always brushed off her over obsession with Edward as adoration at first but this was creepy. And the BD dug itself a deeper grave. Renesmee!(cue. ominous music and thunder)whole concept of her being conceived made absolutely no sense. many ppl have pointed out Edward's lack of body fluids(major fact) I even went bak and checked and it is in there. Bella running to Rosalie for help made no sense I expected her to go to Alice.
Jake's book I surprisingly liked. witty titles and I love the growing relationship between him and his fellow wolves. I especially loved the Leah/Jake scenes(very upset that they didn't end up being a couple) Seth:too cute for words. Edward was OOC when he asked Jake to give Bella babies(shudders). Bella was selfish and stubborn about the baby, it was ruining everyones lives! get an abortion! When Bella became a vamp she was very very very out of character. Renesmee or Nessie or whatever the thuing's name is I want it to die. it was just too perfect! Bella(of course) gets everything she wanted with out losing anything! Jacob became a pedophile when he imprinted. if SM decides to continue the story I hope the impreint is somehow broken. The Alice leaving thing felt like it was only there to take up space. absolutely NO fighting! hey just talked about the baby! I wanted someone(important not Irina) to die to at least brin some realism to the book. I really wanted a Edward vs. Jacob fight. It was all to cliche and everyone was OOC. seemed like a poorly written fanfiction that I could read on fanfiction.net for free. As of now I'm quite shaken and probably won't be able read the Twilight series for a year or two.Stephenie Meyer you let me down.:(

I so agree with everybody else. When Bella got pregnant I was like WTF?????And I hated the child even though it was good.Every character changed in BD.I mean when the hell did Bella say she wanted to be a mother?????And by the minute the child was born she only cares about it.She said it herself when she first saw Renesmee after her transformation (Immediately, she had my absolute attention, my every thought, the way
nothing else had owned them since the moment I’d opened my eyes.)The way nothing else had owned them....not even her beloved Edward.WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO EDWARD BEING THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO BELLA?????????The love and chemistry between Edward and Bella were the main reason I had been reading the series.Where are they?????Replaced by sex and a demon child.I really wish I had never read this book.I MISS MY TWILIGHT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with BellaEdwardLife.
And I'm going to say just one thing:This book does not belong to the series for me.It is a good book but it has nothing to do with Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse except that it has the same names for it's characters. It is not related at all.

Hey!This is my first time in fanpop... Sorry for the mystakes but I'm from Portugal so english isn't my native language... I'm going to stop talking and go right to the point...
Breaking Dawn only came out in Portugal about a month ago, so I had to wait a long time to read it. Like any curious fan I searched the net so any possible sites that could tell me a little bit of the story (I'm wai to curious), so I wasn't suprise to find out that Jacob imprinted on Nessie. But still I was disappointed with Stephanie Meyer...It was like "can't have the mother... got to have the daughter". I always thought of Stephanie as an author with an incredible imagination... for God's sake the woman wrote a love story that moved thousands, but this one just didn't seem to be writen by her!
Regarding Nessie... I thought that the name choise wasn't the greatest, I mean it's original but I thought she could do better. The first part of the book was very good, I loved the weeding part, her parents giving her the present, she concentrated on Edward to keep calm, etc! I LOVED IT:D I was a bit mad when I realized that Jacob had a part in the book (it mad me really mad, because I never really liked him)but after reading it and putting myself into his position I started to enjoy him a little bit.
I didn't realy liked to "see" Bella pregnant... I mean how the hell can a vampire have kids...doesn't the venom kill the sperm? But I don't have anything against Nessie, and I understand the reason for Bella to keep her(she's a little part of Edward, who could kill a little part of him?)
I was so sad when I got to the part when Alice and Jasper leave:(
(they're my favorite couple in the Twilight Series...I just LOVE THEM and their story:)eheh) but I knew that they must have had a good reason for it, they could never leave the Cullens like that in such a time of need! So when they come back in the right time(I may add) I was so happy that I almost scream :p
Ok, I'm almost over... I'm probably boring you with my opinion but I wanted to tell you what I think...
Only three more things: Rosalie... I never liked her but in this book I realy started to like a little more... I know that she was only protecting the baby for her own "gain" but she helped Bella to protect Edward's little baby!
Emmeet: the sex commentaries...AWSOME! Poor Esme, she had to make them a house just because of their "nasty habitts" (just kidding)!
Finnaly: the all Volturi stuff! I just wanted to go there and kill them all! But I was happy to meet so many new vampires with such amasing skills!
That's all! Sorry it was so long, you must all be sick of me, but I'm happy to tell you this and to get my opinion out there!

PS: Once again sorry for any mystakes you may find!( I'm portuguese;) Don't blame me:p)

I know what you mean...
I didn't like Breaking Dawn very much either.
It did seem like an After-Eclipse-Fanfiction, in my opinion... as if it were sureal... like Eclipse was the actual ending, and Breaking dawn... was a published Fanfiction. I like the series, but seriously? A mutant child?! And making her utterly unique, then later claiming there's other vampire-human's out there like her... that was a big hole in the plot. I mean, really? I didn't like the concept of Renesemee at all. It was a perfect finish without her. It's too bad, really.
