I walked out of Carlisle’s study. I deeply thought about our conversation. I couldn’t quite understand what Carlisle was trying to tell me. ‘We like people for their qualities, but love then for their defects.’
Hey little brother! We’re down here. Alice told Jasper that we need to stay down here until the wedding!
I saw Emmett leaning against the counter in the kitchen. I saw that he was looking at the food in the silver holder and wondering what was in it. I smiled to myself and headed down stairs. I saw Rosalie looking at booklet of piano composers.
“Play Yiruma ‘Kiss the Rain’ and then ‘Beloved’.”
She turned to look at me and tilted her head slightly to the side. “Who?”
I huffed and walked towards the piano. I leaned against the piano and looked out the window.
“Yiruma. Excellent composer, I must say so myself. Go on the net and get the music sheet.”
Whatever you want at your wedding.
She exited the room, still whining about the dress Alice picked out for the wedding. Rosalie, that woman thinks of no one but herself. Hopefully one of these days she'll thinks of someone other than herself. I...

It's my second reading of “Breaking dawn”. I`ve somehow always wondered if the second time would feel different. Now I know! But it's different in a good way, because I now see things more clearly. What fascinated, stroke me this time was not only the huge amount and density of emotions. I saw things from a different prospective – Jacob's. I've always considered myself to be Team Edward, but I know all that team stuff seems a bit meaningless – because it was always Edward for Bella. But what struck me the most was Jacob's development – he literary grows up-in his thoughts, in his acts. He needs to grow up in order to cope with his pain. And in order to prove my words I've picked up some of Jake's thoughts:

“ I was tired—hadn’t slept since my last patrol— but I knew I wasn’t going to sleep. My head was too crazy. The thoughts bounced around inside my skull like a disoriented swarm of bees. Noisy. Now and then they stung. Must be hornets, not bees. Bees died after one sting. And the same thoughts were stinging me again and again.” (BD. p.148)

A mountain lion was perched upon one of the branches of the trees concentrating on his own hunting agenda as Bella leapt onto a branch of a tree next to it. She positioned herself higher up in the tree than the lion was. I was frantic. I knew Bella would be fine but it went against all my instincts to allow this. I couldn’t fathom that she was no longer fragile. She didn’t need my protection. I felt a twinge of pain at this thought.

The lion was eyeing a herd of deer and was completely oblivious to Bella’s approach. He was preparing himself to spring in attack when Bella launched herself from her perch and landed on the lion’s branch.

If I could have had a heart attack, I would have. The lion reached out with his paws and clawed frantically at Bella; his fangs exposed. I was on the verge of a panic attack when Bella launched herself at the lion, knocking them both to the ground.

It took all my control to not step in and save her; but she didn’t need saving, she was the predator this time. This was going to take some getting used to.
