heres the problem, if not lucas who is good enough for our brookie. up to now brooke really hasnt had a romance to rival brucas but not for a lack of options. There's Chase, her ex boyfriend, sweet kid, she took his virginity in a car, go brooke, but really is what they have love or an attempt by the writers at trying to make us settle for brase after loosing brucas. hmmmm... well i know i lot of leytoners love brase, big surprise, can't help but think maybe they just want brooke out of the way and would prefer her to be with anyone as long as it is not lucas. Now im a sane leyton loathing brucas loving oth obsessed fan and want leyton to burn to the ground and die so i can dance on their grave, but i would not settle for peyton. i think settling for peyton is lucas, why have leyton when we can have Jeyton who im sure many would agree (even leytoners) had the best oth sex scenes, why waste that? Lucas is a settlement for peyton, Jake is a prize. not because of lucas but because of leyton and jeyton. But with Brooke we all know its always going to be lucas as number one, the first and only guy shes really loved, the one who saved her from herself and changed her for the better (like naley). so if brucas don't get together it has to be more than a settlement, it has to be undeniable. so back to chase, is he really good enough. he's cute, nice and real sweet but can we forgive him for turning his back on brooke, well he didnt cheat on her so thats a plus, but lucas fell in love with her for who she is despite her flaws he always accepted brooke, chase didn't. and then again he came back. but their relationship was rather dry, if you count how long they were together, or how much chase was actually in the show you may be surprised how little he really mattered. Chase is a great guy, i admit, but is Brase good enough? Then there is Owen, im at a disadvantage seeing as i havent watched all of sn 5, but i hear he had alright chemistry with brooke, he's a bit looser than her normal guy and seems to respect her. they have playful scenes and like to tease each other a bit. but he's also the guy who freaked when she said she wanted kids and hasn't been seen since, leaving brooke to deal with everything by herself when she most needed support, and who was there to support her... wow, it always comes back to lucas. Is this Owen guy good enough for Brooke? is Browen as undeniable as brucas? Now if you were to read the show in summary Brase and Browen would be mentioned in relation to Brooke. Any other new guys, you'd think not but anyone whose watched season 5 knows better. Who is this mysterious Dr Copeland everyone has been talking about. Lets see... his names Ethan, he's a doctor, hot, older and mature, sweet, kind, saves lives, really he seems perfect. Never dated Brooke, never hit on her or flirted with her, not sure he's even touched her in passing. And best of all after a few comepletely unromantic scenes people were talking about the possibilty of a Brooke and Dr Hotty romance, the possibilty was undeniable, if they were to play this out who knows what chemistry we'll see. Still not enough to know if he's good enough for Brooke or to rival Brucas, and for all we know he'll never be seen again. Or if Mark is serious about LP maybe he plans a completely new guy for Brooke, but if season 6 is our last season as some are speculating do we want some rushed relationship witha person we don't know, i know i don't. Brucas will always be our preferred option, but in the event of the brooding blondes being end game who is the next best thing?

BRUCAS!! I'm gonna miss them if they can't be revived. But at least they're good friends and I remember Luke saying that he hates Peyton because she ruined his life. OH hell yeah, that's true love always. How sad. Might as well stayed platonic, Leyton.
BRUCAS...can't they be end-game since they totally deserve each other? And even though many boys are around Brooke, it's always been and always going to be Lucas Scott in the end. She really can't love any guy greater than she loved Luke and same applies with Peyton to Jake. The next best thing is the one Brooke shared a real history of romance, friendship and love and that is Luke and even though I can never like him again due to all his not-so-adorable antics anymore, he was a better, more mature person with B. Davis than he was with Peyton. And for christ's sake, brooding blondes? That doesn't seem romantic. It's sick. Leyton as end-game, seriously, would destroy Mark in my eyes. I can't see Brooke having again what he had with Lucas.
A good example is The Married Scotts. I think Naley knows that what they have is "IT" so during all the seasons, they fought to keep each other even when they're already mistrustful with each other, even when we all thought that "this is it, nathan is never gonna forgive hales or haley is going to divorce him now" but deep inside, they cherish each other and that's why they still are the ultimate OTH couple ever. Same can go for Lucas and Brooke. That tame platonic vibe they have going can break through a romantic chemistry again.
And Leyton is not Naley, LPers, you can't make them a destined couple when all they do is share angst and repel each other then boom, boom, P.S has to take Luke away from whoever girl he is happy with because they are sooooo meant-to-be when all they need is DRAMA to spark his writing and to ignite her art/music/whatever. That might work for Gabriel and Carlos Solis from "Desperate Housewives" (two lovers who are so alike in everything) but even they can admit that once the flame just tames a little and they're going to commit and settle down, they just need to be angsty and hate each other. Such passion can thwart and it's what Leyton has, in all god-given honesty. A passion "I want you so much and you should be with me and i should be with you" thingie. A passion "I can't stop thinking about you that I can't function anymore if I don't have you in my arms" thingie. A passion "We will be together no matter how many people should compromise their own happiness to see us together again" crap.
I don't like Leyton for that. A passion that is SELFISHLY LUSTFUL (oh, yes, it is about sex with Leyton since that's what they can only agree about..when they are sucking each other's mouths) and make people around them either DUMBSTRUCK (Wow, that Leyton should be together. It's the natural order of things. It's what everybody in Tree Hill seem to want so what the hell?) or BORED (Shit, just go and marry each other so we could end in season 6 already!) It's so scary I can't understand why it's an "acquired taste" and LPers enjoy it. (No offense to my best friend and other mature LP supporters.)
Now I don't know what Mark can do about Peyton but the girl deserves to be left alone with herself. She can survive without a boyfriend to rescue her. She's better than that. So Mark..really, wtf are you going to do? If you like Peyton so much as you claim then stop antagonizing her and while you're on that, make sure a special, sweet girl like Brooke achieves happiness because she worked harder for it than anybody else.
TRIFECTA: BRUCAS, JEYTON, NALEY 4eva! Go take care of your damn couples, Mark! Onegai Shimasu, seriously!

Chase and Owen are NOT good enough for our Brooke Davis. Like I always say Owen looks like an oger and Chase needs to hit puberty reall soon. And after what Owen did to Brooke, he shouldnt even be given a second chance. Chase too for that matter.
I know that everyone loved Dr.Copeland, but I for one thought he was kinda ugly. He looked old.
For me its gotta be Brucas and NOTHING compares to them!
