prue dies at the end of the 3rd season, she had internal injuries and if u look closely enough sh eas bleeding from the ear and the back of the head, since leo cant save the dead he saved piper, remember at the beginning when of the last episode of season 3 when shax attacks the first time? piper calls out for phoebe and phoebe comes running, the second time that happens, piper calls for phoebe but she doesnt come since shes in the underworld, so leo got there late and prue ends up dying
