I represented the Holy Spirit
|
I stepped onto stage with my partner, my heart began beating faster, this was it my time to shine. I quickly moved into the correct starting position, an arabesque. Waiting, waiting for the curtains to open and the music to start so I could come to life, I began to promenade when the music started, reverence, turn and then the interaction betweeen me and my partner began. Me and my partner were dancing to the song Breath of Heaven which we had choreographed together. I represented the Holy Spirit, calm and confident and she was Mary, scared and in need of help. I guided her throughout the dance I would do the steps first and she would follow, I made the daring leaps while she wrapped herself in a blanket. Then we would come together and do the same thing at the same time. As we continued dancing I felt myself fall more and more into character, never messing up as I guided Mary. Then as the dance closed I went and wrapped her blanket as a baby and placed it in her arms. As she held it I stood over her protectively.
