Well, I've been on Fanpop for a while, and now I think it is time to tell my testimony.

I was born into a Christian family, went to church every week, and "accepted" Jesus when I was 8.

Did I understand, no, I wasn't a Christian, I still did the things of the world, I sinned, I had a short-temper, and I didn't care.

My short-temper was horrible, no one would play anything with me, without me getting angry at them for changing the rules, making up the game, or cheating. The actions from resulting from my temper caused me to sin alot.

Well, my family eventually moved, and I was ok with it, b/c it was a new start for me. Well, that summer, they sent me to a Christian summer camp. I almost got expelled, a bully instigated my temper, and we got into a fight. Well, from there on out, I listened to what they said, and basically the message God will forgive your sins sounded good to me, although I didn't do anything about it.

That was the question Jesus asked the women at the well, as you read in John 4:7. Why would Jesus need man to do him a favor in the first place? Is He not the Almighty God who can do whatever He wants? So why would He need to ask a foreign women to give Him some water? Why would He ask you for a favor today?

You can respond like so many others do and say 'just leave me alone, I don't need you' and he probably would. You look at him just like one of these annoying insurance sales men that really don't want to leave you alone until they got you to either buy something from them or throw something at them.

But Jesus is not this kind of guy. He simply asks you for a favor and gives you an opportunity that will be for your own benefit in the end. Come on, it's no secret that the world is careless, best friends disappear when they are needed the most and the ones you love will eventually kick you in the teeth.

Yeah right, and now you try to tell me that the church is any different? Well, I wish. But to be honest, it's probably not the truth. But I believe that God himself is really different. He doesn't push, he doesn't condemn. He really loves you...

"Alright fine, he was not a good human teacher. Why should I believe he was the Son of God and not a liar?"

The Bible contains many prophecies about the Messiah written hundreds of years before Jesus was born. These include when He would be born, where He would be born and how he would die.

Jesus fulfilled all of these propecies in his lifetime. Some he could contol, such as entering Jerusalem on a donkey, but many others such as being born in Bethlehem or being betrayed for 30 pieces of silver were completely beyond His control.

Beyond all the prophetic evidence, Jesus told his followers very plainly that he was the Messiah and the Son of God. Jesus knew that these were very difficult things to believe and so he performed many miracles to demonstrate the power and authority God had given to him.

These miracles alone do not prove he was the Son of God, for many prophets and even Jesus' own disciples were able to perform miracles.
