Some nimrod (probably a US immigrant) tried to sue for lower rent because their neighbors were smoking on the balcony... The courts ruled it is perfectly fine to smoke on your own balcony. Small win for smokers, but at least it is a win...
there is solid evidence that charities are suffering from the smoking bans. Some charities have had to close their bingo operations because the smokers made up the largest percentage of their customer base.
