a christmas cartoon...cant remember name

its a cartoon film with three creatures, they could have been mice but im not sure, and there were two boys and a girl and they were siblings, and they lived in an orphanage in the beginning but they found a penny that they called a heypenny and they went on a kind of adventure...i think they tried to go to the moon or the sun

cant remember much more about it, this was a long time ago, i watched it about 10 years ago on cartoon network
