Let me state first for the record that this is a horrible idea. Remake Rocky Horror Picture Show?! You might as well redo Seven Year Itch or Psycho (hang on....).

But the moment I realized that this is out of my hands and that MTV will do whatever the hell they want and make this regrettable remake, the only silver lining I can find is to make my own ideal cast of the hot & new that might possibly save this Titanic.

And now for my ideal cast for a least-than-ideal situation:

Russell Brand as Dr. Frank-N-Furter
This has been the only 'official' casting that I have heard float around and it actually made me nod my head thoughtfully, in slight approval. I don't know whether he can sing but if he's comfortable in fishnet tights and stilettos, Brand's got the gig.

Kristen Bell as Janet
I actually saw Kristen Bell first in her role of the ingenue-turned-sex kitten Mary Sunshine in "Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical". She was a good girl...until [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHWHFJTWEk4] she turns bad with the help of...

Nosferatu
These days a film that qualifies as “scary” is really just a conglomeration of CGI, ridiculous oozing make-up and simply put – excess of every possible sort. Granted there have been a few here and there that have made many an audience leap out of their skins, but there are many old-school horror/thriller films that did the same thing with mere camera techniques, angles, lighting and ambiance. Not to mention that the stories themselves are worth watching as opposed to modern plots, which consist of blood spurting scene after blood spurting scene. So for your viewing pleasure here is a compilation of The Top Ten Best Classic Horror/Thriller films from before 1950...

#10 The Mummy (1932): Not necessarily a sleepless night inducing scary film but it is a tradition in the collection of thriller/horror films. Karloff is at his best here without uttering a sentence. Lighting is everything, especially when the camera looks into the mummy’s soulless eyes, filled with pools of horrible vengeance in which to drown. This version is superior to the remake because you can smell the rotting flesh in its ancient wrap as the creature shuffles along.

Audrey Hepburn
One of the best actresses to come out of the 50s and 60s is easily Audrey Hepburn: she had style, she had class, she was sophisticated and always played the good girls (with a bit of a spin). Charming and easy to get along with she was the perfect poster girl for the 50s and early 60s (when most of her notable work was done). However, she is often looked over and chalked up to being an "icon" more than a viable actress. However, she had some great ones, and no, they weren't just "breakfast at tiffany's" and "My Fair Lady" -- in my view the former is only 3 while the latter barely makes the list. SO here they are, in order, best to good (because there are no bad).

1. Wait Until Dark: Audrey plays a blind woman being trapped and manipulated by killers while her husband is out. Tense and emotional, this movie will have you at the edge of your seats. Hepburn is absolutely amazing and believable, and barely lost get the Best Actress award to the other Hepburn-- Katharine for her performance in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. If you doubt Audrey's acting ability, see this movie.
