Classic Rock is very vague. So my question is what is everyones top three favorite classic rock bands (in order)and why.
mine is:
1)The Beatles - John Lennon and John McCartney were very inovative for the time with their looks, lyrics, political involvement (though that was John Lennon post-beatles), the fact that they paved the way for other brit bands, like Pink Floyd for example, and pretty much founded the pop-rock genre.
2)Pink Floyd - 5 words. Dark Side of the Moon. (Though, Wish You Were Here would be on my top five fav albums of all time also.) They were very unique for their time and well have you ever heard any band that was anything like Pink Floyd? Without copying them of course.
3)The Doors - I'm a very big fan of Jim Morrison. I loved his anti-war sentimates apparent through (some) of his songs. Especially sense the songs (such as The Unknown Soldier) is still relevant today.
for me it's gotta be:
1)pink floyd:if i began tolking about them ... believe me i won't stop...so i'm gonna write the songs that can describe my words:shine on your crazy diamond(I-V),dogs(solo),maroond,pigs on the wing and the most important wish you were here...and so so many.
2)metallica:usually i don't like heavy metal most(although there is a time for it)but these guys do a great job(nothing else matters,unfogiven I and II,S&M consert)
3)guns'n roses:i was'nt a big fan till i heard''don't cry'' then i went crazy on these boys.
