Step One:
Hit the coconut with the blunt side of the coconut knife several times. The coconut will develop a crack and the knife will sink in a bit.
Step Two:
Stick the hook end of the knife in the crack and twist.
Step Three:
Continue to twist until the entire coconut breaks apart
Step Four:
Pull the two halves apart and gaze on your masterpiece. Your handwork will likely resemble that of a native from Sri Lanka, the Philippines or the South Pacific.
