Although Suzaku does take over the part as Zero (his metaphorical geass power) and does kill Lelouch. I don't believe he's really dead. Charles possessed the immortality given to him by geass, which may have passed over to Lelouch when he killed him. C2 does reference him while talking to herself, but she may also have been talking to the driver who we don't see that face of. My thoughts are, based on the episode where Kallen and C2 fight, Kallen ask if C2 was in love with Lelouch. Had this been true, which I highly believe it was, she wouldn't have been so content at the end. Just looking at through a romantics eyes.

no! i dont think lelouch is really dead coz if he really did die on the last episode, that he casts to his brother snyzer will stop working, and also the geass to zusaku but as far as i am concern the still works on his brother, so that means lelouch aint dead.

i don't know it's possible in the spilt second before suzaku stabbed him that he became immortal because of his geass but even for lelouch that's highly unlikely but it'd make one heck of a spin-off if lelouch didn't die! i don't think they killed lelouch now that i'm acutally thinking about it... heres what i think suzaku stabbed lelouch through the spine right? he shouldn't have been able to stand let alone walk after that yet he walks three steps (i think) and then falls down the transport and at nunnally's side, and here's another thing how did nunally know at the end that lelouch did all this for her?

Yes Lelouch died on the last episode of Code Geass. His plan was to die so that the world would direct it's hate towards him and forget about Euphy's crime (Well she did it cause of Lelouch's geass.) But if you keep watching past that C.C is talking to Lelouch's spirit like how she talked to Lelouch's mom spirit. I mean C.C does have the ability to talk to dead people, so yeah Lelouch is dead but his spirit lives on

Code Geass is one of the greatest anime of all time because of a main characters death. Really the ending is very ambiguious. I really hope that Lelouch isnt dead cus he is after all the coolest and the smartest. (Excluding deathnote's characters) Really love him and i wish clamp would create a third season to it! REVIVE HIM CLAMP! WE ALL LOVE HIM.

There answer to the question is both Yes and NO, the author leaves it for the audience to choose whether or not Lelouch died. Thats why the last scene is of C.C. talking alone, the want you to decide if its the driver, a spirit, or herself she is talking to.

did you watch code geass first part before r2 you can see mao there right? well when lelouche used his geass onto the police and commanded them to shoot mao to save C.C lelouche thought mao died but lelouche was shocked when he saw mao at the ashford academy and threatened suzaku and lelouche that if they didn't give C.C to him he will kill lelouche's sister Nunnaly
