If you're a Twilight fan looking for intelligent discussion, or a person who doesn't like Twilight, OR simply someone who wants to get away from all the hype...this spot is just for you!
Found this one on FailBlog. What makes me sad is that she won the contest. Image Credit: Whoever uploaded it to FailBlog Keywords:twilight,

By the way, the caption says: "Canton High School Senior Autumn Underwood and her self-designed t-shirt won a costume contest sponsored by the Plymouth District Library inspired by the recent [illegible] release "Twilight", a book series created by Stephanie Meyer. The contest was a part of the book release celebration at the library last Saturday."
Tiwlight? hee hee. What's great isn't just that she didn't notice, it's that she didn't, none her friends or family noticed, the people running the competition didn't notice and going by the fact they don't appear to have mentioned it in the article the paper didn't notice either.
Aw, look how proud of herself she looks too. I love the idea that in years to come she'll pull out this article and say "Hey kids. Look at momma's moment of glory...wait a minute..."
Haha! Thought I gotta admit I didn't see what was wrong with it at first LOL. There goes my chance of trying to prove that there are some intelligent fans of Twilight...
OMG I cracked up at this. Its kind of a grim look into the intelligence of the whole fanbase. What I find most astonishing is the fact that these people were actually able to REEEED TEH BOOOKZ!
" ...or I will lose all fate in this world..."? All this mudslinging at the intelligence of the fanbase, and the critics manage to use the wrong words, too. I'm just a stupid fan, but I think the word you're looking for is "faith".
fate: Predetermined and inevitable necessity.
faith: Confidence in or dependence on a person, statement, or in a thing as trustworthy.
twerdnumber1 just so you know, that came across as pretty rude and angry. There's a difference between joking about a fan who spells the name of the book she loves enough to make a t-shirt for wrong, which wasn't noticed by anyone, and being rude when pointing out a random spelling mistake.
If there has been 'mudslinging' that offended you feel free to bring it to the attention of other spot members, but don't come here to take it out on members of the club, because we're a friendly spot who like eachother no matter what side of the debate we are on, and we don't think all fans are dumb. Nobody here is looked down on for being a fan, people are for being rude to other users though. It's unwarrented behaviour like that which gives our other charming pro twilight spot members a bad name.
I'm sorry. I must have misunderstood two different commenters who said, "There goes my chance to prove that there are intelligent fans of twilight." and "It's kind of a grim look into the intelligence of the fanbase." Not to mention the "REEEED TEH BOOOKZ!" I found all of those comments very rude. I didn't for a moment think that any of you would look down on anybody for being a fan, considering this is a fan based website. However, in my opinion, those comments are mudslinging. The comments didn't sound gentle or playful, at all.
The read the books thing seemed aimed at the girl in the ppicture, and I think laughing at someone who doesn't spell the name of the thing she's a fan of on a shirt is just normal, as I'd said, we'd do the same if an anti made a similar mistake. All comments were aimed at the girl in the photo.
If the comments did offend you the right thing to do would be to repsond to the people who actually made them, not to take your anger out on someone else who said nothing offensive at all. Respond to rudeness, don't create more rudeness.
I'm wondering how that poor girl in the photo feels. Yes, I'm sure she has realized her mistake by now, and instead of just having the local embarassment, it's now posted on a TWILIGHT fan site, so the whole world can witness her humiliation. All in fun. I am not angry, just shaking my head at how this can be construed an entertainment. I was merely pointing out with my reply that anybody can make spelling mistakes. Funny how when it's aimed at this poor girl, it's funny. When it's aimed at another innocent person, it's rude.
No, the difference is the person you spoke to made random spelling mistakes on a random comment that she probably didn't put much thought into, if she had not only spelled the name of something she was a big fan of incorrectly on a shirt she made but then won a t-shirt design competition with the incorrect spelling it would be funny and people would laugh. That is the difference. The two situations are not comparable. You might think it's the same, but in my opinion you were simply being rude, and when other comments bothered you instead of explaining why to the people who actually MADE them you chose to take out your frustrations on a third party.
You're absolutely right. I'm done with this. It is clear that what I'm trying to say is not sinking in. This reminds me of the bullies that I used to go to school with. It was O.K. to attack an innocent person for fun, but not O.k. to recieve any criticism. Believe it or not, a lot of the anti- Twilight stuff is pretty funny, and I enjoy some of it. What I don't enjoy is how several of the commenters, the one I replied to as well, implying that if you make a spelling mistake, you must be lacking in intelligence. That was the point I was originally trying to make. I'm sorry if that offended you sensibillities.
Oh for heavens sake, it's not that what you're saying isn't sinking in, it's that I understand but completely disagree. Are you sure you weren't one of the bullies at school? because taking out your anger on someone who didn't actually do the thing that angered you is classic bully behaviour. It's not that we are saying a spelling mistake makes you dumb, surely you see the difference between a simple spelling mistake of a random word and spelling the name of something you love wrong on a t-shirt (so she must have gone over the word again and again without noticing) and that not one of the people involved in the competition noticed? We are not just laughing at the mistake (if a fan on an online comment put 'tiwlight' we wouldn't be laughing) it's the fact that not one person noticed and it's in such silly circumstances. You have missed the point of the comments.
For the second time, I am not angry. I was pointing out someone who was commenting on a mistake with a mistake. I don't belive I singled out an innocent person, because the comment was a poke at the unfortunate girl in the photo, who I have been defending. Not very bully like behavior. Yes, that making a spelling mistake makes you dumb is exactly the whole tone of this thread. If you don't belive that then you need to read the comments again. Also, for the second and last time, I'm done. I will never see your point of view and you will never see mine, so this is a waste of time. Best of luck.
I am going to take one last stab at this, since you are apparently not reading or understanding what I wrote IT'S THE FACT THAT IT'S ON A T-SHIRT SHE SPENT AGES ON AND THAT NOBODY NOTICED! As I said, if she had made the exact same mistake in a simple comment we wouldn't be mocking. It's not spelling mistakes, it's spelling mistakes of your favourite book on a t-shirt that won a contest. That's why we are laughing, not just because it's spelled wrong.
twerdnumber1, I said that because I AM a Twilight fan, and didn't notice the mistake- I was jokingly calling MYSELF stupid, nothing to do with the girl in the picture. That's why I said 'oh, I didn't notice that, there goes MY chance...'
Did I say anything abut the girl? NO! How is mocking myself rude and then you compare it to bullying?! God! And looking down on her for being a fan? Again, I would be looking down on myself. Don't just jump to conclusions. I don't really like being compared to a BULLY when I have done nothing wrong.

I thought that I'd seen the worst.
I guess not :)
I hope this is photoshopped, or I will lose all faith in this world...
