It's not about a boy who is sexually atracted to horses... Maybe you haven't read it, but that's not really how it is. It's a boy who is confused with society, and he sees horses as a thing of devotion. Contrary to popular belief, he is not sexually attracted to the horses... It's interesting to read it and understand it, and it's the only way you can judge it. I have not seen the movie, but I have read and watched the play, it's interesting mostly because it's from the point of view of the psychiatrist and how he comes to understand the boy, and what he has done.
