Dead Like Me was a show with a unique, sort of depressing sense of humor. I like that kind of humor, and you don’t get much of it.
The show really suited me with its whole "life sucks, you die, and it still sucks" theme.
George was a great and interesting lead character. A girl who hated life, died, and still hated it. I really enjoyed watching her character develop over the episodes, and wish I could have seen more. I liked her back-story, and the whole thing with her family, it was a bit separate to the rest of the show, but still interesting to watch.
Two other interesting characters were Rube and Mason.
I liked Rube because he was a bit of a mentor to George, he treated her really well. His attitude and back-story were interesting, as well as him being unintentionally funny.
Mason, well that guy just makes me laugh.
I really liked where the show was going in season 2. As well as the growing characters, they were suddenly starting to unfold the mystery of those creatures. They started crossing the boundaries of death, and I just couldn’t wait to see where it was all going, wish I could.
