The Song of Mulan is a famous ballad about a heroine of the Northern Dynasties. In this ballad, this heroine is called Mulan. But people always call her Hua Mulan. And in 1998 Hollywood made an animated cartoon Hua Mulan. But this cartoon is a light program, so it can’t show a real Mulan. I have seen a movie Joan of Arc which directed by Luc Besson, and this movie hurted seriously the image of a herine that I have known about Joan of Arc since my childhood. So if we want to know about historical persons, we must research true historical materials.

The first image of Mulan was a young woman who was born in modern-days Shangqiu, Henan Province in the early days of the Western Han Dynasty. Her surname was Wei. In the period of Han Wen-Emperor, Hun invaded the border, and the government conscripted armymen. Wei Mulan took the place of her father Wei Ying and joined the army. Unfortunately, she died in battle. The government gave her a title “Xiaolie” which means filial piety and heroism.

Okay, I'm just going to put it out there:

I HATE the recent disney movies.
Besides Enchanted and Finding Nemo (which is really pixar anyway), any disney movies that came out after Tarzan were just abismal to me. Disney Movies today have lost so much of their magic that it makes me want to scream. Like, what's this new Chiuaua disney movie that's coming out? WTF? what happened to the disney movies that made you cry, laugh, and made you all warm and fuzzy inside? What happened to movies like Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Pocahontas, and even the older ones like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Great Mouse Detective? Those were the days that Disney didn't just cater to the minds of six year olds. They made movies that everyone from the age of 1 to 101 could enjoy.

What do you think? Agree? Disagree?
When do you think Disney started going downhill?

Walt Disney's most popular character, Mickey Mouse
The Walt Disney Company started in 1923 in the rear of a small office occupied by Holly-Vermont Realty in Los Angeles. It was there that Walt Disney, and his brother Roy, produced a series of short live-action/animated films collectively called the ALICE COMEDIES. The rent was a mere $10 a month. Within four months, the ever-growing staff moved next door to larger facilities, where the sign on the window read "Disney Bros. Studio." A year later, in 1925, the Disneys made a deposit on a Hyperion Avenue lot in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles. Construction began on the new studio shortly thereafter. During the next 14 years, many changes took place at the Disney studio: Mickey Mouse was "born" in 1928, followed by Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, and the rest of the Disney gang.

In 1937, Disney's innovative first full length animated feature, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, was released to critical acclaim and worldwide success. In order to expand and meet the expectations of his audience, Walt saw a need to increase the size of his studio. With profits from SNOW WHITE, he made a deposit on 51 acres of land in Burbank and began designing a modern studio specifically...
