Have you ever watched any of the Disney Classics sequels?

Case in point: Aladdin. The first sequel, The Return of Jafar is execrable, really a bomb in every way. There's no point watching it at all, since nothing happens and there is no character development. You miss nothing by skipping it completely, except that Iago (the parrot voiced by Gilbert Gottfried) becomes a good guy.

But the third film, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, is actually pretty well done. If it hadn't been made for direct-to-video, it could really have a shot at being as good in its way as the original. As it is, the animation can't touch the work of the theatrical division, but still...pretty good.

Every once in a while, you find a gem.

Most of them are awful, but then you get Toy Story 2 which rocked!

Actually, I did see Aladdin II and Toy Story II. But still, the classic-classics, like the Little Mermaid, Cinderella etc.? Wouldn't watch the sequel.

I didnt like the Cinderella sequels but other than that they were ok

Lion King 2 is surprisingly good, as I recall. Maybe it just caught me on a vulnerable day, but I thought it was pretty sweet.

An example is Toy Story 2, although I do not know if that counts, as it is Pixar.

Especially loved Bambi 2, so cute.

there are a few good sequels, but thats all they ever are...good. you can't beat a classic, but i guess its good to try.

Love Lion King 2 and Little Mermaid 2

I don't mind that they made them though.. I just don't wanna watch them..
I watched cinderella III once which I didn't really mind, it's good for the new kids haha ... and Toy Story II which I didn't really like...

I don't mind that they exist, I just don't wanna watch them cause they usually ruin the originals for me :S

I have never seen a sequel that was better than the original.

It's an addiction to disney movies...there is no cure

lion king 2 was good! lion king 3 totally contradicted the 1st 1!

I don't like most of them. Then I wish I hadn't wasted time and well, the original is never the same once you see a terrible sequel.

The most times I think that the 2nd movie(and after) aren't so good as the first one

I think most are ok, some good, few bad.. I don't know why everyone hates them, sure usually the 1st is better, and that's with everything, but that doesn't mean that the movie is bad.

LOVE the sequels to the Lion King... but things like Lady and the Tramp 2 and Cinderella 3 are a waste of my life.

i watch them only if they come on tv. some are good, some not so much. lion king 11/2 is pretty good, although its a lot of the first one lol.

The originals are always better but like harold said every once in a while you find a gem e.g Toy Story 2, Lion King 2

Yep, most of them are bad...but there are exceptions.

i love the lion king movies and the little mermaid series. i dont know how good the 3rd little mermaid movie will be, but i wanna see it anyway.

i love all of them. And i agree with bubbly131 i want to see the little mermaid 3. I've seen it, and it's so sad what happens to Ariel's mom!

I was going to chose "Yes, but they dissapointed me", but then I remembered Aladdin. That was an amazing movie with great sequels. And Pirates of the Caribbean was good too. But The Little Mermaid 2? WTF???

ALMOST non of them are poor/bad/not good. I also hear many people say Disney movies from these days suck. I disagree. Disney is and stays a great production studios.

I watch the sequels because I want to see more of the main character who appeared in the original, yes the animation is never as good, yes the characters are completely different, yes the story lines usually suck, but I still end up watching them.

I love Lion King II for example. But most of sequels were disappointing.

you see the 1st one then when the next one comes out you think oh my god i gotta see it...bit most of the time ive been disapointed...like alladin, cinderella...but loin king had a good 2nd one but the 2 1/2 was kinda off....little mermaid was ok...i liked it too....

The only reason I watch some sequels is because I want to know what will happen next. I seen HBOND2 and that was great, I saw Little Mermaid 2 and that was good , I have Pocahuntas 2 as well as the first one and that was good too. Hey I love Disney (well the classic ones anyway) the 3D ones are rubbish and some of the live action ones are alright but my fav live action ones are Enchanted and the 1st two PD movies.

well in some case like Toy Story 2 or The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride are very good movies

but then we have Cinderella 2 or Atlantis 2 (well in this case the original also was bad but still) who are movie than sucks

I agree with AnaHallam - The second Cinderella is rubbish but the third one is really good (not as good as the first one though)... though my favourite Disney sequel has to be Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamps Adventure.. I love that film.

whem i was a kid, i get all excited whem they realesed a new sequel, and i loved all of them!
But i didn't like Fox and The Hound 2, and i never watched "Brother Bear 2"

Contrary to what I said on an earlier article... I like The Lion King 2 a lot, and think it was impressive (I just re-watched it today). Still, ones like Cinderella II or The Fox and the Hound II or The Return of Jafar...uh.

I don't like Pocahontas 2 a lot!!! How dare Disney gave her to John Rolfe after all the hot pictures in the original Pocahontas!!! :(
