Bolt and Penny are sitting on the couch in the living room. Mittens is lying belly-down on the floor, rolling Rhino's ball around. Suddenly, they hard a noise. Bolt jumped to his paws, and slowly crept to the door. Mittens followed along beside him with a look of concern, and annoyance on her face. "What is it?" asked Mittens. "Shhhhh" the dog shushed. Mittens frowned. She hated it when Bolt wouldnt tell her what "It" was. Bolt leaned his ear up against the door and listened. He jumped back. "Bolt?" asked Mittens in a more scared tone. Now there was barking. Bolt scratched the door. Penny walked over to him. "Wanna go outside?" she asked. Bolt made the dog face as if to say "Please". Penny opened the door. The dog bolted out into the front yard, with a frightened Mittens following behind.
Something white lay in the grass. Bolt slowed down. He slowly walked up to the creature. The creature moved. Bolt backed up. He could now see the face of the creature. It was another dog! The dog stood up on all four paws and lowered its head. It seemed to have a broken leg. Bolt stepped forward, but not wanting to scare the dog at the same time. The dog limped away. "Stop!"...

Errors in geography: When Bolt is in New York City, we can see a pedestrian "WALK/DON'T WALK" sign. In New York City, those signs show a white walking character (walk) and a red hand (don't walk).
Revealing mistakes: Near the beginning of the film, Calico is sitting with a cat on his right shoulder. Their reflection is shown in the glasses of a man directly opposite. The reflection shows Calico and the cat in the same position instead of being reversed, as a reflection would be.
Factual errors: The roll-up door on a U-Haul truck cannot be unlatched from the inside.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: At a shelter, a tank of helium explodes. While helium itself is not flammable, the helium tank is filled with a compressed gas. When the valve gets knocked off the helium tank, the compressed gas rapidly escapes and turns the tank into a missile. The tank flies uncontrolled out of the building, and hits a sign post, knocking it down. The sign post falls onto a truck carrying a larger tank (presumably a fuel tank), which can be seen correctly labeled with a flammable liquid placard.
