The timelords have been around since the beginning of the show and were only "wiped" out after the 8th doctor. But in the newest episode, it appears we have another return of the timelords. Another? Yes. They have been dropping in and out of the doctor's past as far back as the 1st doctor. The goal it seems of this return is to make The doctor less powerful, and revert back to the way the show use to be. Not in the way of second class speical effects and all, but the way the doctor was not so powerful, I mean, let's face it. He can do anything now. Hell he could wipe out every alien race. But this return may not be such a great idea. It just might cause many complications. In my opinion, the heartbeat could have had a better effect. I was hoping for something more sinister. But only tiem will tell.

Ian: How did you feel when you heard that Doctor Who was being brought back by Russell and co. Did you expect (or hope) to be asked to direct for the new series?
Graeme Harper: I was really excited as I knew it could really be brought to life with all the technology available now. I did not expect to be thought of, as I am considered part of the old school. I suppose I have never really grown up though; I think that's apparent in my work. I did make contact to say I would love to be considered, but although I know I was approached for Series One,...

The Face Of Boe
Although we've seen the bodyless Face die on screen in 'Gridlock' 5 billion years into the future, he's still knocking around until that time and has been closely associated with cryptic messages in the past. "Know this, Time Lord - you are not alone," he memorably warned The Doctor. Perhaps there's something else Boe needs to tell him? However, given his lack of limbs the act of knocking may prove to an insurmountable obstacle ... unless Boe headbutts the Tardis door four times. Now that would be fun to watch!
