Want Dollhouse to get renewed?
If you live in the US, this is what you can do:

Create a hulu account if you don't already have one.

Go to http://www.hulu.com/dollhouse.

Add all avaliable episodes to your queue. Right now, it's True Believer to Spy in the House of Love.

Click the queue botton on the top right of the screen.

Click the thumbnail to play the first video.

Minimize the screen, and continue with your busniess. Hulu will automatically load the next episode until you run out of videos in your queue, or lose internet connection.

Wash, rinse, repeat. I'm not sure how Hulu counts views, but I'd definately do this once a day with all avaliable episodes. Do this with FOX on Demand as well if your internet connection can handle it.

Other things you can do:
Email FOX (askfox@fox.com) and tell them you watch Dollhouse live (even though it is SO INCONVENIENT to do so on Fridays.) Here's what you want to convince them of:

You're between the ages of 18-49 and you watch Dollhouse LIVE.

It is REALLY hard for you to find time on Fridays to watch live, but you do because Dollhouse rocks even though TV on Fridays doesn't.

You want to see Episode 13 before the DVD is released, and are offended that you won't be able to unless FOX changes their mind.

Tell them that almost all of their scripted shows have gained millions of viewers in their second season. Tell them that House, their highest rated scripted show, gained FOUR MILLION viewers just by being renewed for a second season. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_(TV_series)#U.S._television_ratings) NONE of their current scripted shows dropped in ratings from Season one to season two. The worst Dollhouse could do, trendwise, is stay the same.

But Dollhouse WON'T stay the same if you move it from it's lousy Friday timeslot! The super high DVR numbers prove that people WANT to watch Dollhouse live, but can't. (tvbythenumbers.com/2009/04/17/more-dvr-analysis-than-y...904)

Brag about how Dollhouse is one of the only scripted shows on FOX that ALWAYS beats its lead-in in the ratings. Imply that with a stronger lead-in such as House, 24, Bones, Fringe or American Idol (one can pray), Dollhouse's ratings will soar.

-------------------------------------------------

I know this is just a show, but for people who actually care, please consider all the possibilties, if you think one lousy e-mail wont help, then that might be true, but putting many e-mails together does effect the show..

FOX isn't stupid. They KNOW Nielson ratings are a flawed system and are looking at other factors to decide whether or not a show is profitable. For FOX to only look at Nielson ratings would be like Target only tracking their Apparrel sales even though they don't just sell clothes. If you don't want to help, that's your choice.

Excellent article, DefineDelicate! You've certainly done your research. Thanks for the tips. I've watched episodes on Hulu before but I didn't realize that you could add them to your queue and play them one after another. I'm doing it right now! If only I could put it on repeat. :) I also sent an email to the address you provided, touching on the subjects you suggested. I'm also a FOX panel member, but it's irritating- none of the surveys they've sent me have anything to do with Dollhouse. :(
Anyway, again- great article and a great way to keep hope alive!
