DOLLHOUSE (s1 pic)
|
Season one of DOLLHOUSE (DH) was really good, it had me gripped to the story ever since commercials! I knew it'd be good cause JOSS created it, ANGEL was good, BUFFY was good, SERENITY was good, and FIREFLY was good! Anything else he made was good too! That's why I knew he'd do just as well on this new project! Picking ELIZA DUSHKU (Faith from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, Tru from TRU CALLING, and Echo from DOLLHOUSE!) was a good idea, seeing that we only got two seasons and three episodes with her in Buffy TVS! Eliza was great for the part, and the show kicked BUTT!!! And once I heard that DOLLHOUSE may not return for SEASON TWO, I almost cried! Cause DOLLHOUSE picked up viewers from the start! There was like three hundred fans here on this spot when it just started! Even before that there was one hundred! But, was it enough to keep it on air for SEASON TWO?
_________________________
YES! It was, they are doing SEASON TWO right now, and it'll air sometime next year! It'll be great, but there is just one question going around still: Will The Show Last? Or Will it end up like FIREFLY!? Well, I sure hope it will! Dollhouse is too good of a show not to keep...

Want Dollhouse to get renewed?
If you live in the US, this is what you can do:
Create a hulu account if you don't already have one.
Go to http://www.hulu.com/dollhouse.
Add all avaliable episodes to your queue. Right now, it's True Believer to Spy in the House of Love.
Click the queue botton on the top right of the screen.
Click the thumbnail to play the first video.
Minimize the screen, and continue with your busniess. Hulu will automatically load the next episode until you run out of videos in your queue, or lose internet connection.
Wash, rinse, repeat. I'm not sure how Hulu counts views, but I'd definately do this once a day with all avaliable episodes. Do this with FOX on Demand as well if your internet connection can handle it.
Other things you can do:
Email FOX (askfox@fox.com) and tell them you watch Dollhouse live (even though it is SO INCONVENIENT to do so on Fridays.) Here's what you want to convince them of:

Echo being subversive
|
Master storyteller Joss Whedon has become known for his strong female characters and throughout the courses of his shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly overall themes of feminism and overcoming male oppression become clear. Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, an internet experiment carried out during the writers’ strike, was a bit of a departure from his usual political message but still depicted a female character as the only one actually accomplishing anything for the good of society. His latest show Dollhouse is in some ways the most blatant criticism of a sexist culture, but this has been curbed by the ad campaign relying heavily on sexual objectification.
The standard format of the earlier episodes has Echo being imprinted with some identity that leads her into a situation in which she is oppressed by a dominant male force of some sort. Despite her brainwashing, Echo manages to overcome the imprinted submissiveness and makes herself become strong, defying the restrictions put in place by the Dollhouse. She is subsequently wiped of her identity including her experience of being strong, but some little piece of her...
