I'm not sure, but if red is a trigger I imagine it being the worst since the colours seem to fit what they activate (green being go, yellow being...mellow) so I imagine red being more dramatic or violent. There could be a situation (such as the FBI trapping her) when her death would be the best way to protect the dollhouse, or in case she should go all 'Alpha'.
yup,, red=self-destruct. sadly
but given the circumstances, its reasonable.
plus it wouldnt be returning to the dollhouse, because they can control that anyway, and it wouldnt need to be to target a certain person, because they would just program that into her
(and yes i reaslise that i am slightly contradicting the facts because they might not have programmed her to come back to the dollhouse because the engagement isnt over and they want a rush job, so you know, forget about the fact im kinda wrong there lol, ALTHOUGH, they say that she is a "trigger" doll, and "trigger" referring to the fact that she could kill someone with the flick of a, hence the word, "trigger"!) and someone could definitely be her.
dont worry if im not making sence, i dont often do so :D
posting this for you guys to read is slightly poinless because i know that its highly likely you wont understand me,,
however, its benifitting me, soo.

Mermaid-Tail picked she forgets her current imprint (Just memory loss not revert to doll state:
I think all of these are possibilities, because yes they could just programme her to target a certain person but they could've just programme her to kill too, but they didn't. The whole point is that Mellie is a sleeper active, who only does things once triggered. They left it as a sleeper mission, so I think it makes sense that going after someone specific could be a sleeper mission too. Like they could've had her programmed to go specifically for Paul if he learnt too much.
As for the returning to the dollhouse one I think that makes sense too, because as far as we know the way to get them back is for their handler (who they're programmed to trust) to offer them a treatment, well what if their handler couldn't get to them? The words 'treatment' don't seem to make them know where the dollhouse is and go back, I think it only works if said by their handler and all it does is make them go with the handler, because it's so common a word it would be too dangerous to have them return to the dollhouse any time they heard anyone say it. In emergencies when the handler couldn't reach them it makes sense they'd have a contingency plan.
And when they say a trigger they don't mean the trigger of a gun, it isn't a refference to the fact she can kill people, a trigger word is a word that makes a sleeper active or some who has been brainwashed do what they are programmed to. That's what they mean when they say trigger, it has nothing to do with a gun or killing :)
haha, yeah, i realised that, HENCE THE CONTRADICTING!
I'm just trying to explain my thoughts that, overall, are just thoughts that don't HAVE any explanations.
