One key for business success using eBay is what to sell at auction. The first questions eBay sellers should ask themselves are: "What products should I sell?" and "Where can I buy products?"
There are two kinds of sellers on eBay:
People that sell things from stuff lying around their house. Garage sellers sell products they are not going to use any more and that are usually not new. Garage sellers usually are not driven by profits. Their objective is usually to get rid of things they don't need any more. They are happy to make some money by selling something that is no longer useful to them.
The other type of sellers on eBay are business sellers. They are people who will buy and sell products for profit, and they consider eBay a business, and therefore need to earn profit on the products they sell.
The first key to success for the business sellers is an old marketing rule dealing with research. The products you need to sell are products that eBay buyers will want to buy. Aside from being this massive marketplace, eBay offers you a good source of research that you can conduct without leaving your computer.
