Does Rob Fitt the part

i like him as edward. i always have. i didnt really have a mental picture of edward before i saw that rob was gonna play him, but then i was like "omg! he's totally the perfect edward!" and ive seen his interviews and tralers and stuff and i love his personality (though it doesnt really seem edward-like) and i think he can play the part really well! plus he is hott!

I really don't like him as Edward :S I didn't like him as Cedric also, I'm not saying he's ugly but I think they could have casted someone else, or maybe is just I like the Edward in my mind so much ^^'

yeah rob is perfect to play edward he is beautiful the complete package I don't see anyone else being edward.

Ok well I think that he doesn't really fit the part like I wanted him to , but I'm pretty sure it's just because I am super picky!
I though I had a mental image of Edward but I really don't , I just imagine him as a sexy 17 year old god like hottie.But I think he has grown on me , like at first I was like yeah cedric , sure . But now with all the trailers I've seen I'm getting into him. the only problem is that now I imagine cedric as edward when I am reading the books !

I have read all the Twilight books including Breakng Dawn. What made it more interesting was that whenever Edward spoke I imagined Rob Pattinson saying the words. As an actor, he is very talented and he is so into his character as Edward on Twiight. Edward and Bella have excellent chemistry on screen. Twilight is going to be amazing.

i think rob plays edwards part perfectly.when i read the books, i just kinda imagined him the way every girl wants her guy to look like. but when i first saw the trailer i thought omg this is going to be a great movie. he nailed all the parts perfectly and he is tottaly hot.

Uhm this is one of conner95 friends... personally yeah i agree with her Rob will play a great Edward!! But I LOVE Taylor Lautner much more.

At first I wasn't sure about Rob for Edward but he has really grown on me. He is very charming and his eyes have a certain intensity that I would imagine Edwards would have.
I think that everyone is going to have a different answer for this question just because when we read the book we all have a different idea of what Edward looks like in our own imagination.
Everyones idea of beauty is different, afterall 'Beauty is within the eyes of the beholder.' While one person might think that Rob is "an ugly piece of cow shit" to quote I_HATE_EDWARD (which I think is unnecessarily harsh and don't agree with at all), others will think that he was sent straight down from heaven to make the world look better.

I think that Rob is a great edward....he wasn't exactly my first impression of edward but he fits the part well

of course robert fits the part i couldnt picture anyone else playing the part as edward cullen.at first i didnt know if he would be good at playing the part but now tht i have seen the movie 3 times he is perfect and HOT!

I JUST read the first 2 books in the last week..I purposely did not watch the movie or focus on the hype of the movie until I read the first 2 books. I saw who they picked for Edward but did not pay close attention to him at all. I turned the channel or page in the mag I was reading if he was featured in it.
I fell in love w/Edward from page 1!!! I am absolutely obsessed with him. He is the most beautiful man EVER!
I am 32 & I want to be Bella so freaking bad! LOL..
I keep thinking in my mind "IS there an Edward out there for me? for any of us? where can I find him??"
SO, tonight I watched the movie for the 1st time & I liked him/Rob in the part of Edward, I had the book so fresh in my mind that I was deep into the movie. They left a few things out but that was ok it is Hollywood afterall..It would of been a 30 hour movie to portray every single part of the book into film. Not realistic.

I think Rob is a good Edward, his hair was as I imagined it too. The weird weird thing was Jacob, I had NEVER seen 1 pic of him & on screen he looked almost exactlet as I imagined him ni the book.

Laurent & James did not look as I imagined them however. Nor did Dr.Cullen. Kinda but off a bit. The dad was totally diff too. I pictured Bella a tad bit plain jane-er too. Pretty, a natural beauty but not a Hollywood pretty.

Rob is a good Edward, perfect. I keep looking for my Edward..LOL..

"robert IS edward". i must agree with that. he's gorgeous. whenever i read of edward cullen, rob's face and smile will suddenly hit my mind. i think he's perfect for the role. i couldn't see anybody who can play the part as good as robert pattinson did. i can't wait to see him again! oops, i liked him since his harry potter days as cedric diggory. i think i just dreamed of him last night. lol. but literally, he's the man of my dreams. haha!

I think that nobody could act Edward better that Robert.

Robert is a lazy, ugly, stupid, drunk. i think they could have done way better. I mean Edward is so complex, and Robert isn't. he just isn't right.
