Alice's POV:

Suddenly, out of nowhere, I had a flash - a flash of the future.

One minute, we were all crowded round Mariella, then I couldn't see anyone anymore.

I saw a vampire. He was tall, and scruffy looking. He was standing with Cassandra. He had his arms around her.

Then I saw Jasper.

He threw himself at the male vampire, knocking him to the ground.

What could this mean?

I was instantly wary of the stranger in our midst. Automatically, I positioned myself in front of Alice. I saw Emmett shift in my peripheral vision to stand in the same protective position in front of Rosalie.

But my main focus was on the rugged vampire in the entrance.
