It was true he turned down the role, but I'm not sure if he regrets it. I mean, being a big James Bond fan myself, I can picture him being the BOND, but I personally think he will not regret it, because of his superb acting skills, which he portrays in all his films, including the recent film, Angels and Demons, where he plays the Irish priest. Oh! He is such a great actor! I love him!

Thanks for your answer! I would have loved him as Bond too, to bad the turned it down. And he really was great in Angels & Demons!
