if you click on a profile and it takes you to the homepage the user has been banned. this doesnt mean they have deleted their profile (because thats just not possible) it means they have been banned from the site. this may be a permanent ban or a temporary ban (you cant know,its up to the f4 to decide). the profile page is made inaccessible but the content the user added stays (except for the stuff they got banned for probably lol). thats why sometimes you will find a comment from someone or an image where the user has been banned but you can still see their contributions to fanpop.

If this happens with content in it means it has been removed, either by the user themselves or the F4/moderators. (sometimes this will happen when you look through an image gallery..you still see the thumbnail but the picture has been removed).
what can also happen is that you might sometimes find that your updates arent all that up to date because the content in question was moved to a more appropriate spot (the club icon you see might be for e.g. fanpop when actually the content has been moved to the random spot, the icon in your updates wont change accordingly)so you expect to land in the fanpop spot but are redirected to the random spot.

Probably it was a user that has been banned. That means that they have deleted their profiles.
