Are you bored? Unemployed? Pathetic? Maybe you don't even have a life.
Well, if you said yes to any or all of the above questions, then you just might be the employee the Unnamed Fanpop Newsletter is looking for!
Currently in it's planning stages, the Fanpop Newsletter (which has yet to be named) is looking for reporters to contribute to the publication on a monthly basis, plus special editions (for events like the Fanpoppies).
We have openings in every category. The ones below are categories we need filling.
Headliner: What's breaking news on Fanpop? Are there any events coming up? Any tragedies? Any celebrations? What is the most important story ever, and more importantly, do YOU want to cover it?
Features Reporter: If the breaking news is not your cup of tea, perhaps the Features section is more your style. Features reporters generally cover interviews, or follow-up stories on old headline news. They cover the smaller, but still interesting stories, that need to be told!
Dear Abby Columnist: We're looking for a clever fanpopper who can dispense decent advice with anonymity. You know how it goes. Fanpoppers write to you, and you offer wisdom to help them with their problems. At the editor's discretion, one or two of these "advice-seekers" maybe invented for a little flare.
Politics: From Fanpop politics to world politics, if this is your thing, then write about it monthly for the Fanpop Newsletter.
Horoscopes and That Junk: We need a columnist do divine horoscopes for our readers, as well as any other nifty lifestyle gimmicks you can come up with.
Entertainment: In this section, we're looking for someone to recommend videos, soapboxes, and the like to other fanpoppers that may have been overlooked. Dig deep to find the coolest stuff on the pop and let everyone else know about it! Top Ten Lists and reviews of TV shows etc are also acceptable for this category.
Guest Reporters: If you are not on the regular staff of reporters, but have an article you're just itching to include, feel free to contact the editor at any time.
Free-Lancers: They come, they go, they have no stable job and crappy salary, but it just might be the job you want. Free-lancers note that they want to contribute, but may only be able to commit to a few issues, and not contribute every time.
Also, any category you can think of. I have to run now, but think about it and "apply" for the job here. Sections can and should have more than one reporter.

Can I do Horoscopes? PLEEEASSSSEEE!
When I was 8 I did horoscopes for a magazine I made with my friends. :D
Or can I do a joke agony aunt column? Something like this: http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lifee_a
I would love to be a part of the news team somehow, it sounds real fun =D I would also not mind doing something like tushtush recommended, some sort of jokey agony aunt. But I would just be happy to 'watch' the news too =D
Btw, I did not only answer yes to one of the questions ... but sadly (for me) to all!
cinder my darling i would love to be part of your news team, i was hpoing to do some fanpoppy interviews and cover stories this year like i did last years anyways but putting in to something like this would be awesome if you would consider me for a features reporter
emr another position for people could maybe be fanpopper anoucements like congrats it's so and sos fanpop aversary or so and so just recieved their fired fanatic medal
are you going to be the editor of this brilliant idea because you may need some help with that as well as you could have a section for people to send in letter or well in this case mail on their opinions on last weeks or months stories :)
And yeah, I may need a handful of assistant editors. Maybe one or two Co-Editors in Chief. We'll see.
"I just found out every detail about every single fanpopper I know already" ... in your dreams, sweet pea!
*taps fingers impatiently on keyboard* I'm waitinggggggggg
I'm saying yes to all the questions above, but I think my english isn't on "newsletter" level :P
So this is kinda uselless comment. However ...I think it's briilliant idea. :D
*sigh* Oh, well.
Should there be a Spot for the Fanpop News Team?
What should the monthly newsletter be called?
Throw out a few suggestions for names, and I'll make a pick. Lemme know if you think there should be a spot or not. I, personally, think this is the type of thing deserving of its own spot, rather than bogging down this one with it, but at the same time I don't want to make any more superfluous spots (after the Crazy Cat Ladies spot that I never look at).
My suggestions for the title:
The Fanpop Gazette
The Fanpop Times
The Fanpopian
The Fanpop Post-Intelligencer (Fanpop PI)
Titles:
The Fanpaper
The Fanpop Tribunal
The Fanpopzine
Fanpop Herald
Fanpop Enquirer
Ooh, I wish I was still a celeb stalker. I'd apply for a position,lol.
