I believe in evolution. Basically Creationism is as true as evolution theory because I think it's symbolical.

Considering how much I still act like a monkey, I'm more inclined to believe in evolution. Disagree with me and I'll fling poop at you! :p

Cinders picked I don't believe they're incompatible theories:
As I argued in the debate spot via a long winded soapbox, providing a loose interpretation of the Book of Genesis, the two theories don't have to be incompatible.

ineedcoffee picked I don't believe they're incompatible theories:
I believe in both creation but not bible creation, then evolution from creation. I think alot of creating happened before bible times.

x-missmckena-x, I think you dont -have to- believe in Creationism even though you are Catholic. You can believe in what you want to believe in. Look, I am Lutheran and even so I am agnostic and believe in evolution theory.

Cinders picked I don't believe they're incompatible theories
Cinders picked I don't believe they're incompatible theories:
It's actually a common misconception that humans CAME from monkeys-- That's not what Darwin was talking about. Actually, humans and apes share a common ancestor but are both different branches off of the evolutionary tree. So I hope that answered one of your questions. As for the second, there is a huge gap in the fossil record. That's all.

ThinkPink20 picked Theological or Theistic Evolution
ThinkPink20 picked Theological or Theistic Evolution:
Theistic evolution is the official stance of the Catholic Church. Pope John Paul II (This is my crazy Catholic side coming out) took this position when he was pope. Basically, it's saying God lets evolution run its path, but intervenes if things aren't going his way. Does that make sense?
Oh, funny sidenote, my image comic thingy say "And God said 'Let there be evolution!'" I liked it :D

Edit: Cinders, I've heard that monkey thing too. I hear all people were derived from fish.
