Some of you may not no this but if you have a mac you can only upload five images at one time onto fanpop.

Most of you probably don't care because you have a PC or don't upload images that much.

It didn't really get on my nerves before, but now I want to upload Heroes screencaps to the Heroes spot which I have a die-hard medal in and I know PC users can upload much more than five images at a time; especially if they have a die hard medal in the spot they want to upload in.

I know you can open loads of tabs but then again it is more work and annoying.

It's unfair on people who like to contribute anyway, so I hope there is some change in the image uploader for mac users.

P.S. If you joke and say I should have a PC or whatever, then very funny but no.

You wanna hear about unfair, dude, well pay attention to this.
I don't have a Mac, I have a PC but the most that I can upload at a time IS 5 images and sometimes that can be more frustrating and time-consuming than uploading one image at a time.
It takes me about 30-40 seconds to upload a standard photo but when I upload 5 images at once, it can take over 4-5 minutes. When it comes to wallpapers or screencaps that can take almost 10 mins for JUST 5 lousy images.
I do contribute a lot of images - that is what I believe I do contribute the most to the pop - well, besides my big-mouth commenting everywhere.
So how many hours can I spend just to submit a decent amount of images? Too bloody many ... compared to the average user.
Why do I have this problem? Because I'm still on the old dial-up system.
PS If you joke and say I should get broadband or whatever, then very funny but no! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, thanks for contributing to Fanpop.

So it's not like we have anything against Macs. In fact, half of our company uses Macs exclusively, and my first computer was a Mac Plus. One of the F4 worked at Apple. Even one of our hardest working Fanpop servers is a Mac XServe.

If you really are angry and must blame someone, blame Adobe. The image uploader that lets people upload big batches of images works on the Windows Adobe Flash player, but there are several bugs on the Mac Adobe Flash player that Adobe simply doesn't seem to care about fixing. (Remember, Adobe is the same company that can't seem to get Flash working on the iPhone, along with releasing a buggy Flash player on Linux; Adobe makes some great stuff, but Windows is clearly their bread and butter nowadays).

Believe me, I wish we didn't have to have two separate uploaders for image uploads. Aside from reducing the ability of Apple users to contribute, it was also more work to make than just having one uploader.

Unfortunately, those bugs mean that our special uploader doesn't work on the Mac. If they fix it, then we can change things around. Until then, the only solution seems to be either 5 at a time, or Bootcamp, VMW Fusion or Parallels.

After we finish releasing our latest feature, I'll take a look at the next Mac Adobe Flash Player to see if they have fixed the bugs yet or not.

By they way, I just happened to see this article randomly. In the future, if you have a problem, it's probably more effective to just contact us directly.

Okay. Thank you and sorry. I'm gonna kill whoever is in charge at Adobe... Okay I'm not but I'll tell everybody how much I hate them.
