I've been a member of Fanpop for a little under a year and have been enjoying the site immensely. I glanced at my spots, er, clubs, and saw one outlined in green. What the heck? Then I saw the dot. Oh my! Could it be? Sure enough, below "my spots" was the icon: Dedicated Fan.
I am shocked and oh so excited. I've created a few spots, and added quite a bit to several, but these spots aren't that popular. That fact is fine by me, but I doubted I'd ever get to be a Dedicated Fan (a secret desire of all Fanpoppers, I'm sure). Although I check the site daily, I don't have time to add much content (I haven't even figured out how to upload more that one picture at a time), and when I do, it's usually to a spot that doesn't get a lot of action. I'm so pleased that enough people have discovered, and hopefully enjoyed, the content I have provided.
Thank you all for allowing me to become a Dedicated Fan...next stop-Die-Hard Fan!

The internet is losing the magical veil of interest it once held over you. You've been on all the really popular sites you already know about and have eventually grown board of them. Sure you type into your blog every now and then, but that's not enough to keep you online for more than ten minutes. After a while, you figure you might as well look for that episode of The Office you failed to record, and therefore missed last week.
You type the title of the episode into Google and browse through the first couple links that pop up. All of them are broken videos, or they have very poor quality in which you don't wish to watch them in. However, it IS The Office, so you figure you have to watch it on one of the crappier websites if this last link doesn't prove promising. It says something about some place called 'Fanpop' in the description. You have never heard of the place and are a little wary of the viruses that some of these random sites hand out, but in your desperate lust for the lost episode you click it anyway.

I swear to whatever higher power you believe in that I am going to injure someone with all the shoddy spelling going around. Yes abbreviations are easier (in a sense) but it looks like a 5 year old wrote it and a lot of people don't understand it. So lets first go over some abbreviations that we should cut out of our vocabulary here at Fanpop when you post content...
u = you
r = are
srs = serious
2 = to or too (using it as "two" is fine)
plz = please
If you actually take that .5 of a second to type the whole word people will look at your content, comment and such a lot more and with nicer comments other than "WHAT?" and "I CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOU".
- If there is a word you do not know the correct spelling to either Google it and Google will hopefully give you the correct spelling, go to Dictionary.com or crack open Word and type it in.
- Typing with caps lock on is seen as disrespectful and also messy. Use shift for capital letters, much easier.
