My wonderful Hoodie
Having already reviewed the website Cafe Press over on Epinions awhile back, I do not plan to go into the details of that website here today. I do, however, want to let other Fanpop members to know just how great the Fanpop stuff is.

http://www.cafepress.com/fanpop

I ordered the white Hoodie, the black long-sleeved t-shirt for women, the large coffee mug, and a sticker to put on my iMac. Hmmm I should have gotten two of those... one for my suitcase. Damn. but I digress...

I will say that it is easy to order from Cafe Press. My only gripe with them is that they don't take Paypal. You do have to give up the ol' Credit Card number for them. Irksome, but what can ya do? I've emailed them about that but apparently I'm the only Paypal dork to have done so.

There was a problem with my order. I had never noticed it, but the CC I was using had my first name last, last name first. Odd, that. customer Service at Cafe Press was extremely friendly and easy to deal with and my order was processing within 24 hours of that slight glitch. Kudos to them for that. Great Customer Service is hard to find...

A feeling of achievement, no matter how small, is still great.
Wow! About one day ago, I got my first props! I was ecstatic! Temptasia gave me props for the Office videos I was contributing. And, then I realized something: recognition is what we really base our actions off of.

I first joined Fanpop because I wanted to watch some cool videos, and because I was bored. I didn't really plan on doing much on it, just join a few key spots (my favorite TV shows). As I delved further and further into what this website had to offer, I began wanting to be a part of it. I began seeing names everywhere (Chel, Temptasia, Benji) and I realized I wanted to be recognized.

I wanted to contribute things to Fanpop that would make people think and/or laugh, because those are my two favorite things to do. So, I started adding picks, I commented on all that I could, and adding people to my fan list. I looked on YouTube for videos, hoping other Fanpoppers would enjoy them as much as I do. I began working harder on getting the name ThinkPink20 out there for many people to see, to be recognized.

It's so frustrating. You create a spot, or find a spot you like and add all sorts of content, yet nobody rates it. Days go by . . . weeks . . . nothing. Now, you have lots of fans, but do they know your spots or the content you've added? Are you familiar with your fans contributions?

Here's an idea. Look at your fans. Go their profiles and look at their activity. Check out what content they've added. You don't have to join the spot if you're not a true fan of the subject, but that shouldn't stop you from rating the content. Try to answer some of their quiz questions. Look over their links, videos, and/or images. Rate what you see. Make it a monthly event. Choose one day each month and on that day choose one of your fans and rate his or her activity.

By exploring your fans' activities you'll help them as well as find out more about them. Who knows, you may learn something new and perhaps find something new of which you can be a fan.
