The guys and I thought it might be helpful to tap into the brilliant minds of our passionate community of users to make Fanpop a better place. Thank you all for all of your support so far, we really appreciate all the kind messages we've received and helpful feedback. Our goal is to make Fanpop the best place on the web to find content and community that you care about. I thought that maybe we could start a thread with ideas and suggestion on what you would like to see from Fanpop. I can't guarantee that we can implement all of them, but we always take our users suggestions very seriously. So feel free to post your thoughts here!
I think there should be some kind of meter to determine how far you are for getting a medal for each spot. I've been trying to get a medal for almost a month now, and I've addd lots of things, but I haven't gotten the medal yet, and I don't know if i'm even close to getting it.
I think if there was a meter like at the top of each club we've joined, telling us how far away we are from getting a medal, people will feel more confident of getting medals, and we actually know how far away we are from getting a medal. If people don't know how far they are from getting a medal, and they worked really hard, I think they'll probably just give up.
well zashleyfan, fanpop isn't about getting medals, they are just a bonus.
no one truly knows how much it takes to get a medal, but when you are deserving of one it will come in time.
i disagree with your suggestion cause i think it would encourage people to add more not good content just to reach this target! repeated images would be flying everywhere!
i don't know if it was mentioned yet, but when images don't have keywords they are harder to find, so it was good if existed something as the non keyword images (like there are fan art, icons, photos)

on picks i think it would be cool if you could comment and then scroll up and there would be a little 'next pick' option that would be there. Its kinda a pain having to go back and then go to the next pick of a spot. Its much like on images how you can just click 'prev or next'
what?! i am such a ding bat =] ... after all this time and i havent even noticed that! haha. Thats a major mistake on my part thanks germany for showing me that because who know how many other times you saved me from having to go back to the picks menu.
thanks germany i believe this deserve a prop for catching me on my not so smart moment.
* a help button (LARGE/RED/BLINKING/GLITTERY) that will take you to the FAQs (that REALLY need to be updated!!!) they need to be simpler put (for the noobs) and more detailed (how do i change my usericon, how do i unsubscribe from a club etc etc).
* we had a discussion on a pick aboot users getting a message when their content is removed. while i do think its rather pointless to inform them once its done i do think it might be a good idea (if somehow possible) to maybe alter the reporting process. maybe an automated message (your quiz XYZ was reported as factually incorrect) once the content has been *reported* so people can go and look at their submission and read the comments to know what was wrong.and then they are prepared when it gets removed.it seems to be a deal with quizzes mostly.
* a separate medal FAQ
now i know you guys like to keep the mystery alive and i do hope the medal system will be altered somehow (aka removed =P) but there is an insane amount of fighting and drama aboot medals and the unfairness and blablabla that an official "userguide" should be written imo. NO we dont tell you how close you are,NO you arent being treated unfairly CUZ ONG XYZ GOT A MEDAL BEFORE YOU etc.
I hate to be a Negative Nelly but some of these scroll over ads are incredibly obnoxious. They blow up over the screen over and over when I'm trying to navigate the website and it seriously kills my desire to be on fanpop.
<nudge> <whispers> FireFox has an awesome AdBlocker :P (if you need linkage or advice on this just ask) While we're on the subject of ads, does Fanpop get money the amount of clicks an ad gets or how many times a page with that ad is viewed?

People don't seem keen on the idea. :(
1) first i click on the "more icons" link to get to the first page of icons
2) then click on any page listed such as page five
3) then the address bar on whatever web browser your useing should look something like this for instance

4) if you jsut change the "5" at the end of the adress bar to like 50 for instance.. it will take you to page 50 of those icons
