People get "expelled" every month if the chairwoman doesn't think they'll be good enough. We lose about two or three people each expulsion.

Well seeing as iv'e never been to one, I'm not judging :)
There are so many amusing bitch fights too, because everyone's stressed.
Plus, this generation would be a good one to document, because cotillions are really expensive (overall they cost more than weddings), and some of the oldest families are withdrawing throughout the course because they just can't afford it anymore due to the recession.
