i'm more of a huge fan of (european) football over the american version, but i do love the films about the sport like Rudy, Any Given Sunday, and Peter Berg's Friday Night Lights. couldn't understand most of the football terms but i was purely hooked with peter berg's FNL. so i really got excited when they made a tv series based on the feature film. and it was as exciting and well-made. i remember the film's halftime speech (by billy bob thornton) and it was awesome and i've probably used his famous "my heart is full" line a gazillion times already. kyle chandler's was also good and very inspiring. his character could've been making that speech to a bunch of gradeschoolers or the marching band; it would've moved them (and me) the same way. can't wait for next season!
