I should probably add, in the manga, the story is quite different to the anime. Reason being, in the manga Akito is actual a girl but was raised as a boy (this really suprised me) and Shigure in the end ends up with aAkito, as she decides to reveil her gender to the rest of the zodiacs. Akito starts to dress like a woman and grows her hair out. But in the anime, Akito is in fact a male. Also, i should mention that if you really do love the series (anime) 'Fruits Basket', you should read the manga. It's way better than the anime. Although, if you perfer to watch a series than to read, then be my guess...
