First I am a fan of these shows even though as you read this you will question that.
They spend a great deal of money and are called by some experts but they use highly questionable methods in almost every case.
First they tell the investigators what to expect. You never do that if you want to verify something, you allow everyone to find what they do then compare to see if they match. This way you get accurate information and i would guess a lot less of the: "Did you see that?" When there is no way for us to see because the camera is always in the wrong place. There are cameras like those used in undercover work each investigator could wear and the resolution is great and they weigh almost nothing. The music even after I contacted Grant about it still gets in the way of hearing some sounds.
They turn off all the lights for effect only because I can not recall hearing anyone tell the investigators it was dark except for my flash light. Why turn off the lights then use a flash light if not for effect?
A recent "Destination Truth" they went all the way to Chernobyl claim there was something in the thermal image but were not really excited about it. They spend a fortune on the trips and do a superficial investigation using poor techniques and judgment then claim: "Yep this place is haunted."
You can't do an investigation of any location and get definitive answers about anything in a couple of hours.
I have met with and Interviewed a great number so-called paranormal experts on subjects from Ghosts to the Dumb Ass hollow earth theory believers and a few people are actually searching for the truth but most are are self promoting hoaxers who have a book of lies to sell. Like the guy I won't name to avoid a law suit who wrote a Book claiming that Billy Meier the Swiss hoaxer is really visited by UFOs. It's all hype.
I would like to close with Crop Circles. Are you a that believe these formations are made by visitors from out there some place? Then I ask that you simply ask yourself why would these Aliens do what amounts to finger painting or worse because it conveys nothing of substance and never has. There are claims that some symbols we recognize prove it was done by intelligent life forms. Again just ask why do they not just call us on a cell phone. If they can get here and want us to have a message this is no way to do it, and to believe it is is foolish.
Are UFOs real Yes they are their origins are the only unanswered questions.
Are Ghosts real? I have talked with people who swear they have seen them and even had group of High School girls tell a story about a large red haired man with a handlebar mustache walk up to one of them and ask where her older brother was because he needs to talk with him. They all tell the same story and describe the man the same way. Only thing is the girl he ask fainted and the man. He'd been dead by his own hand for five years. I was the one he was wanting to talk with. By the way he never did contact me.
My closest friend say she saw he father who was killed on the job after his death.
So are ghosts real? I have an open mind on the subject, i just want to see them looked for with a little more thought and logic put into the search.
Keep in mind that if Ghosts are real then chances are so are Angels. Having had an N.D.E. I can say there is something on the other side. At least for a few minutes.
I just want Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, and Destination Truth to do a better job by adopting a few protocols, procedures and techniques that are logical.
