Is it real or put on someone please tell me the fact about 2008 Haloween show

The 2008 haloween special where Grant got pulled on his collar was it put on or real. I had alot of respect for them and was a big fan until it was shown that Jason had a string tied to Grants collar. I would love to beleive in them agian but that made me a nonbeleiver.
