A. Rhett went back to Scarlett. They were cut of the same cloth and any dummy could tell Rhett still adored her. They just had too many times where they didn't know the other was reaching out. That's why the novel, Scarlett, is so wonderful. I devoured it. It captures the essences of the characters and the changing times and finally gives those two the happy ending they deserve!

I think we all want Rhett and Scarlett to get back together but Gone with the Wind wouldn't be as good as it is if they had a happy ending. It is one of the first big Hollywood movies to end with a sad ending rather than a happy one.

A. Rhett should have gone back to Scarlett and if you read/watch "Scarlett" you will find out if he does. Its a sequel to "Gone With The Wind".

My heart was broken when I read the book to the end!! I wish they would end up together. So I run to the shop - now reading "Scarlett" and dreaming about happyend!
